Would definitely recommend. The office is well organized, punctual and updates you IF they do run even 5 mins behind. Which I wouldn’t mind waiting 30mins IF i had to. This office is top notch

I no longer live in Maryland but was with Dr.Richards as my Gyn in late 90's to 2003 & then again from 2007-2010. She is a very peaceful, professional, and skilled OB Doctor. I was in her care for 2/4 of my pregnancies and she personally delivered one. Out of my 4 deliveries, my 2nd (the one she delivered) remains my most pleasant birthing experience. She's fantastic & I recommend her to anyone in need of a great Women's Care Doctor in Howard County.

I have been a patient of Dr. Richards for a couple of years now. I've seen her for a few annual exams and then a set of persistent issues that were causing my whole body to be out of whack. Although I believe Dr. Richards to be very competent in her field of knowledge and do not believe she has done anything outright wrong with me, I have always felt there to be something lacking in her provision of care and scrutiny of my health problems. She frequently seems to brush off many of my physical symptoms and complaints (I will point out though that she will run as many tests as needed to rule things out) and can be a little more on the cold side for bed side manner when I express concerns about anything. Overall, I think Dr. Richards is a good doctor but I need someone with a more outwardly caring, supportive, and positive demeanor and will likely be looking for a new OBGYN as I begin to plan for becoming pregnant.

In hindsight, I wished I had read these reviews from this site. As Richards's former patient I can confirm the woman is thoughtless, treated my emergency call with little regards and, exactly like the reviewer from January 29, 2009, brushed my concerns aside and told me to wait until my next appointment. I am sorry "January 29, 2009" had to go through her difficulties; had I read her warning, I would have looked for a different OB/GYN and would not have found my situation to end similarly to previous patients - no, my result was exponentially worse. Don't want to post painful memories. That said, Richards will forever stay in my history as a horrific moment in time. I don't know how she hasn't been stripped of her license, yet.

Christine Richards came as a referral from a friend. Initial visit was fine. She was knowledgeable & amiable. Unfortunately, one of her major competencies directly caused my inability to conceive. I brought a concern to her attention during one of my pregnancies. She brushed it aside, the result was life-threatening. I would never, ever go to this woman for advice of any kind - including instructions to cut my toe nails. I speak as a former patient from direct experience with Richards. Never again. Thanks for nothing. My opinion.

Dr. Richards is WONDERFUL! She is positive, informative, responsive to questions, down to earth, and NOT one to push you out the door. Counseled me for infertility, ended up pregnant, delivered my second child. Fantastic bedside manner... calming, especially when she noticed my daughter was not responding properly right after birth. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR. The office is the most professional I've ever seen.

I have always found her to be friendly, knowledgeable & willing to have a discussion about my health. She has successfully treated infection & been a watchful observer for any abnormalities.

I had pain in lower abdomen for over a week, she gave me penecillin and sent me on my way, very brisk, doesn't really try to figure out what's wrong or hear you out. I started to spot and still had pain, I told her to examine me, give me a PAP she refused because it was not due yet. next week she had a nurse call me and give me penecillin again. I refused to take it, I went back to my old Gyn Dr. Block and was given several tests and an exam. It turns out that I had a miscarriage. Might have beenprevented if this doctor was not so incompetent. WILL NOT GO BACK to her at Capital Women's Care in Clarksville. SHe makes you feel like you don't know what you're talking about and you're on her time!
