If you're looking for a pompous obgyn who likes to listen to himself more than listening to his patients, as adept at giving useful information as a deer on the road looking at my headlights, and as up-to-date as someone who graduated school about 1/2 a century ago, then Dr. Margolis is the ideal guy with the bedside manner of a life insurance salesman to boot.

I had an appointment with Dr. Margolis at Rockville location. I had a pregnancy with some issues and was very worried. After ultrasound he promptly showed up and talked to me. He made me laugh and we had a discussion about the problem. After all, the issue was resolved. His bedside manner is great and he answered all my questions. Moreover, he knows how to relax his patients and their families.

My visit was a complete waste of time. I found Mergolis to be unwilling to listen, unwilling to hear, and left feeling that he didn't care one iota about my health. I'm going to have to schedule another visit with another doctor just to get routine tests that are standard that he refused to do. My visit was all about him, and nothing about me. It takes months to get an appointment with any doctor in the practice, and when you do, their forms and sign-in procedure are a nightmare.

The office hours in the afternoon are 2 pm to 5 pm. Twice I started calling at 2 pm and it took them 45 minutes to turn off their answering service. Three times I left a message for Dr Margolis to call me (one of those was trying to return his call) and he NEVER called me back.

A great OB. Eased my nerves in the delivery room with his dry sense of humor and his experience was evident. Very compassionate in making sure I was always comfortable and made the whole birthing experience very plesant.

I went to this doctor because of his experience. I underwent a simple procedure by another OB and ended up with a devastating condition. My previous OB was not able to explain or effective treat it, because it's not a text book case. I missed worked and stayed in bed for a month couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. I went to see Dr. Margolis and he fixed my problem in 3 days!!! He has almost 40 years of experience and I thank God for finding a doctor who is experienced enough to see thru the problem. I rated him a 3 on the helpfulness scale because I only wished he would take the time with his patients. He doesn't spend a lot of time listening to his patients or take questions from his patients. He will most likely suggest a conclusion immediately after he examines you and that'll be the end of that visit. He doesn't take the time to explain how the conclusion was derived and what his thought process was.
