When Dr. V. was on her game she was the best game in town. Due to her own medical condition she has not been up to the challenge. My family and I wish her the best and hope she is back to her old self soon. As for all of you who feel the need to complain...go for it, you have the right to your opinion. Those who want to wait...wait. Those of you who want to find a new Dr. ...good luck. I can't wait till she is back, she has always been there for me and my family but in the mean time I do what I have to to take care of my medical situations. If that means long waits in clinics or a Dr. that is only in 1 day a week...you take what you can get till the best is back. Dr. V. if you read this I still stand by what I said "if there is anything I can do, just call"...."and still I shall raise"

My wife and I have only been patients of Eleanore's for four years. She took us on when getting a doctor was getting to be pretty hard. Yes, both my wife and I had cancelled appointments and had to wait for some a long time to see Eleanore, BUT let me say this: If it had not been for Eleanore my wife would most probably be in a home of some kind because of perscription drugs. Eleanore took her off over 75% of the drugs. IN MY OPINION ELEANORE SAVED HER LIFE AND IN DOING THAT GREATLY ENRICHED MINE. She is the absolute best doctor that I have encountered. As far as Rory is concerned she did the very best that she could, and whoever had the nerve to talk against Katie should have their head read. Katie is only 14. There is an old saying "DON'T JUDGE A PERSON UNTIL YOU WALK A MILE IN THEIR SHOES". Get well soon Eleanore I think the pack of which I am one have drained far too much from you.

Very good doctor, however it is verry difficult to get in to see her. She is quite often running behind by more than 1 hour on appointments. With this said I am very satisfied with her knowledge and manner in dealing with me.

I've have been a patient of Dr Vincent for over 18 years, and yes my appointments have been cancelled many times. Eventually I get to see her, She is a very passionate doctor who knows her field and have save my life many times over. I have no intentions of looking for another doctor unless I'm told to. I'm hoping that Dr Vincent will get well and come back in full swing and better than ever. She is greatly missed

i agree with the last person to comment, Dr. Vincent is the best Dr. I have ever had. Been a patient for 19 years and am hoping that she will come back to practice medicine in Newcastle, better than ever. I am willing to wait for her return, when she is practicing and well she is the best. I have no problem with her daughter, she is always polite and is only doing what she was asked to do, you can't fault her for that. For all the people who have talked inappropriately to the office staff, shame on you,she is doing her job, both Dr. Vincent and her staff are people, someones daughter, sister or mother, just think of how you would feel if someone spoke rudely to your family, shame on you. When you had to wait for an appt. i always took the approach that atleast I knew that Dr. V would take the time with me, so I didn't really worry, and yes I did show for appt.and no one there but I didn't get angry, what purpose would that serve. I just hope and pray Dr. V gets well and comes back.

Listen everyone who is trying to find another Dr. I am also hoping Eleanore will come back. I have tried and had interviews with Drs. taking patients, they have prescribed the wrong drugs or the amounts that should be taken. I work in a hospital so I know how they can push through patients. Eleanore has had a rough time these last 2 years with her own health but I can tell you this, she is a jewel amoung the Family Practioners. She is knowlegeable, kind and compassionate Dr. I am willing to wait till she gets back because her level of care cannot even compare with others in her field. I know that her daughter calls and cancels appts, and is very upsetting especially when you take a day off work, but would you rather sit in the Er for an average of 6hrs to be seen, unless you have a heart attack or accident. Cut her some slack, because everyone of you that writes negative comments about her know damned well when is on she is the best!

To all the gutless cowards who whine that "she should be reported" I have this to say. If your medical professional is acting in an unprofessional manner, make the effort yourself and report him/her. Don't moan over missed apts. or delayed reports expecting someone else to lodge a complaint. Every medical professional in Canada is regulated under a professional college who will gladly take your complaint.

Dr Vincents patients should have been aware that her license was suspended Nov 15/07 (not the first time). Like most patients we have all be more than "patient" with her & her often inept staff - Office Manager?? if that is what she is. Notes on doors & child cancelling appts how rude. Perhaps someone knows how we get our files if we find another Dr. I know one family that left the office over 18mons ago & have given up getting files after over 10 fax/letter requests plus numerous personal visits to the ever closed office. Please Dr Vincent don't play with our lives or your own & maybe once you are both physically & mentally ready to return to practice you can be the Doctor you once were. Wishing you well but my family must now pick up and try to find another Doctor. Our health is too important to wait & wait & wait & wait.(At least your ex husband(?) kept the office up & running with referrals/needles/paperwork etc done on time & kept it "clean & tidy" when he was there!)

Eleanore is the most compassionate knowledgeable and dedicated doctor I've ever had. I cannot even express in words the gratitude and respect I have for her. I am deeply saddened that she hasn't shared whatever difficulty(s) she's faced these past few years, despite the concerns many of us have expressed for her. Eleanore your insistance that all is fine; that you are fine, despite cancelled appts, consistantly full voicemail, ignored messages, unmade referrals etc., has been heartbreaking to see. My family and I have waited, hoping for the best like the vast majority of your patients I'm sure, precisely because we hold you in such high regard. I wish you had trusted me with even a small portion of the trust I've shown in you; for you, so that I could have returned some of the support you've given me, and also for me so that I would not have had to search the CPSO website to find we no longer have a doctor. Please Eleanore, we're concerned for you; not just ourselves.

I have been waiting for papers to be filled out by Doctor Vincent for four months. I have had a series of cancelled appointmens, by her daughter, and waited in her office for hours sometimes trying to get my papers. Most recently she called to let me know the papers were ready and would at the office by lunchtime. I have been to the office six times and no one is there and my papers are not available again. I don't know who to turn to next to get help.
