If there was options for negative stars/rating he certainly would be a -10 on everything. I am in my 70's and he is (hands down) the absolute worst doctor I've ever dealt with. Having a blood clinic less than 5 minutes away from where I live he still expected me to drive 45 minutes to Dieppe for my bloodwork. Not punctual at all. He was upset, not sure why, but I ended up in St John Hospital for broken wrist and appendicitis and he was angry about that. St john was much closer hospital at the time. I found out many years later that he was charging me for the flu shot when he didn't need to. He sent me for sleep apnea test. I asked for a script and he said I did not need one onle to have to come back to the office to pick it up not to mention he charged me for the script. He apparently does not use technology. Best thing we ever did was drop him and move along. He's done so much more ridiculous things. The 2 - 3 hour wait for our appointments was a habit of his. Good Luck to anyone who has him as a doctor (if you want to call him a doctor)

Worst doctor. He only cares about blood tests every 3 months even if you are in perfect health.

Where to start…
- 1x issue per visit
- Unless you’re the 1st appointment of the morning, expect a 1-3h wait
- No refills. Asking for a 90day prescription is a huge ask. Then, you need to keep seeing him every 90days for a prescription refill for a medication that you’ve been on for over 1 year.
- Refuses to look into or consider new medications and treatments; Will only stick to what has been around for the past 20 plus years because supposedly what’s “the old fashion treatment”, or what has been around the longest is automatically the best option. (You know, it would be to much to ask and way too much effort for him to have to get up to date with all the new medications that have came out, all the progress that has been done in various health fields…you know like other normal doctors do.)
- Does not keep notes/ doesn’t check his notes; Constantly asks’ the reason for your visit, if it’s for a refill to remind him of what medication you are on, and what the dosage is, and etc.
- Will ONLY give you a paper prescription. He does not even own a fax machine. He apparently uses the Shopper’s Drug Mart fax machine down stairs to fax referrals.
- During the Covid lockdowns, he’s one of the very few doctors who kept seeing ALL patients in person, and completely refused to-do over the phone appointments. You know what, he doesn’t get paid as much if he does a phone appointment compared to an in-person appointment... So he, being the same person that typically double, triple, or even probably quadruple book his patients, which fills up the entire waiting area/room, refused to-do over the phone appointments for patients in which it would have worked out for, and practically didn’t care about putting his patients’ health at risk, all so he could continue making the same income as before. Wow.
- Not being good with technology or knowledgeable of it is absolutely no excuse for not keeping medical records. I believe that he used to record his notes with a recorder in the past and his previous secretary used to write his notes for him… Now that she’s gone (she probably left because she used to do every single thing for him), he’s most likely not keeping records or notes of anything, even if he has a new secretary.
Anyways, the shortage of family practitioners is probably what’s keeping his practice alive. If not, even with (most likely) a heavy number of complaints, the medical board (or however would be responsible) just hasn’t done anything yet, just because… shame of them!

Dr. Dahan has been my doctor for 20 years. He is not shy to order tests and send referrals to specialists. He always tries to get his patients the best possible care. I am so thankful to have him for my doctor.

If I go to the city Hospital Dr. Dahan will drop me as a patient. He tells me only go to the Dumont Hospital. We should be able to decide where we want to go for health care. We shouldn't be threatened. We're forced to put up with the abuse because there's no doctors taking patients. Waiting list are never ending. When will he be looked into? His adorable secretary he had for a long time is gone. Such a shame. She was one of the best and would advocate for us.

This doctor is so controlling. Grilling you on going just to the Moncton city hospital. Why does he care so much what hospital we go to. He said it's because he doesn't work there. That's so not true! He works there. Old staff was better. There's a new lady who I heard was his patient working for him. What kind of medical practice is this!? So unprofessional having your patient as a secretary. I pity who ever falls victim to this man. He's only in it for his benefit. The control. He has many of complaints against him I'm sure.

I call him my mechanic as he compares my symptoms with car troubles, change the oil, rotating tires and to many blue wires for the red ones???? Whatever that all means. Last time I saw him I told him the specialist he sent me to told me to do something and he tells me to do as he says, He said i quote * if I was you I’d stop seeing doctors. And that was my last visit with them over 6 years ago. My husband still sees him for refills even mine. Money grabbing mechanic with a few screws lose. Sits in the dark in his office with a little lamp on his desk , creapy. Had the door open while you are with him and his secretary listening in outside the door, where everyone in waiting room can here. Thank god she is done. Good luck to anyone going to see him. Bring cash you will need lots.

He will advocate for you. I’ve been with this doctor for 30+ years. If it wasn’t for him I would be dead. Blood work done every three months caught my cancer early. I owe him my life.
