Horrible bedside manner, treats nurses and patients horribly. Sent me for an ultrasound after 2 days in labour post induction, after waiting for over an hour the nurse came to tell me I was being admitted. Dr Kulkarni came in without saying a word or introducing himself to my husband and started to check me.. never saw him again! So glad I only had him for one day!

My experiences with Dr. Kulkarni have been absolutely horrible to say the least. He has horrendous bedside manor, he is impatient, rude and incredibly rough while performing exams as well as the procedure I had done by him. The Receptionist is also horrible to deal with, she called me on multiple occasions asking me questions about booking things that I had no control over as it was up to Dr. Kulkarni but was always sure to make me feel like the foolish one by the end of the calls. I wasn’t provided any information prior to my procedure other than to provide a test to the Hospital, the nurses at NBRHC were kind enough to explain the things that I should have been told way beforehand. Also, if you don’t mind waiting 40 minutes to an hour after your appointment time to see him, he is the right doctor for you. I’m completely done with Dr. Kulkarni and hope he retires soon for the sake of other women that will have to go through similar experiences to mine.

I have endometriosis and had adenomyosis (post hysterectomy). Since my hysterectomy I had still been getting a lot of strong contraction like cramps. Went through every other medical symptoms and tests needed to see if this was endo related i.e. colonoscopy or diet/digestion related. Ultimately was referred to Dr. Kulkarni because my previous Dr. is in Markham and we're in the middle of the pandemic and wanted to avoid leaving my small town for the big city.
Dr. Kulkarni was not prepared at all for our appointment and had only read my chart for the first time right in front of me.... BARELY asked about my history, I had to take it upon myself to explain during the awkward silence and questioning stares.
By the end of our appointment he concluded that maybe I should just try another birth control (tried 7), or maybe just try some Naproxen. I was totally brushed off with clear indication that he had no intention of even trying to help me. He told me I should just got back to my old Dr. because he "doesn't see any indication as to why I'm there".
I will absolutely be discussing this with my family physician as soon as possible and will be making the 6 hours drive to my old Dr without hesitation now.

I had severe abdominal pain and the first gynecologist I went to couldn't figure it out. Dr Kulkarni figured it out help me understand what was happening, answered all my questions. His secretary went above and beyond to help me and schedule me for surgery. They are amazing people that care deeply. I was very lucky to find this doctor and deal with his staff. Because of him I am alive today. Seems to me the negative comments are coming from mean, negative people.

Was late to deliver my child and then stitched me up without waiting for me to be numb first. He ended up using too many stitches and I had to get a second episiotomy to correct it. He was unpleasant to talk to and ignored all of my concerns.

The receptionist is absolutely horrible to have any interactions with. Kulkarni himself isn't very pleasant and refused to answer my questions. He made me decide on the spot what the plan is and I had zero information on what was happening and why. He was very cold and uninforming doing the exam as well

I had consistent abnormal pap smears. Dr Kulkarni did an intensive scope and detected cancerous cells in my vaginal tract. He did the surgery successfully and offered to do a hysterectomy five years later. 18 years later I am still alive and well.

Horrible receptionist. Called me to say my health card wasn't valid but then ended up hanging up on me when I tried to explain in several versions that she is the first person who has had a problem, and when I feel better I will go and get a new version of health card. But that wasn't good enough for her. and after telling me many rude and aggressive words as possible towards a sick person at home, she hung up. I am stunned, and understand why there are awful reviews about this Doctor and his staff.

I just came home from an appt at Dr. Kulkarnis office. It was very dingy and not clean looking.. the tables were patched and taped up, and to give my urine sample i was told to pee in a dixie cup and then label it and leave it on the counter in the bathroom.. My appt was for 10:30, and while i dont mind waiting to get into my appt, it was 11:10 before i even got called in. The receptionist was very rude, not professional AT ALL, made a phone call while there were 4 of us patients in the room but was what seemed like a personal call to complain about the doctor overbooking patients.. she receptionist was actually yelling and swearing on the phone! I stood there for 10 mins waiting for her to acknowledge me so i could sign in for my appt. The nurse that took my BP and weight was super nice and so cheerful. And Dr. Kulkarni himself was friendly.. straight to the point and pretty good to answer my questions with my pregnancy. He preformed a stretch and sweep on me with my last pregnancy and it hurt really badly (obviously) but he wasnt phased and didnt seem to have any regard to warn me of the pain. I guess hes a decent doctor as long as he stays on the outside of things. Definitely wouldnt return to the office though. Not a nice environment.
