Horrible experience with my 92 year old mother with this Dr. Instead of allowing God and nature to help my mother pass away this physician took it upon herself to highly medicate my loved one and had the nerve to tell our family that it is a 2 week "process" - we are in the process of discussing this case with our attorney !!

Dr. Asihene is my family physician and has been taking care of us for 13 years. I am a retired nurse since 2008. As such I've known many doctors . I chose her as my doctor after taking care of her patients. I witnessed first hand the level of respect and dedication she has for those she cares for. She is an excellent diagnostician and one of the best Dr.'s in Volusia County.

She's not my M.D., but I'd like to state that I work at a hospital where she attends to her patients and I've observed that she's extremely friendly, patient and concerned for the others Asihene cares for. Good job Doctor!

I have a different opinion of Dr.Asihene than the previous.Yes she was somewhat helpful and yes she was on time.I think she could have been a bit more knowledgeable. I went to her with one ear infection and she check that ear and went directly to the other ear without changing the protective cover. I ended up with 2 FULL blown ear infections.Extremely painful. It wouldn't have been had she changed the cover.Later that year I had breast problems and she seemed afraid to touch me for the exam.She set me up for testing and I was told I had to do testing in different order that she had ordered.Nurses that spoke with had asked if I was put on antibiotics because I probably had an infection.All my symptoms were that of an infection. My answer was "NO" because I hadn't been put on antibiotics. If I had, I probably wouldn't have needed the testing. The tests were normal.I took it upon myself to take an all natural antibiotic and the pain finally went away after about a month.I changed DRs.

I fully agree with the previous poster. Dr. Asihene is the best doctor I have ever met. She is kind, highly competent, totally dedicated to her patients. She is a real lady in the best sense of the word and she litterally radiates immense kindness. She has my total trust and I reccommend her with enthusiasm.

Dr. Asihene is the greatest medical professional I have EVER encountered. VERY knowledgeable, VERY patient, really truly cares about patients' concerns. She will take as much time as needed with a patient. I was her last patient of the day once and I accidently kept her for an hour and a half. She never once looked at her watch or acted like she was in a hurry. I have never seen her without a smile. When I lived in the area, I drove 30 minutes to her office, now I live out of area and still drive 2 hours to see her because she's THAT good!
