Dr Azer is a gem!! very kind and understanding. Office Manager is very knowledgeable and also understanding. A Great Team!!

This guy says he's a doctor, but he refuses to help his patients. He'll send a referral to specialists but won't follow thier treatment plan after thier report comes in. He has openly said that they don't know what they (the specialist he sent the referral to) don't know anything. He has insulted my body size on multiple occasions, and sees nothing wrong with it, despite being big himself. I have looked into reporting him to the college of physicians and surgeons, but the process will take more than a year, He'll only get a slap on the wrist, maybe have to take a course in bedside manor and respect. Meanwhile I'm marked as a trouble maker, and other doctors won't see me. There are no real consequences for people like this.

Dr. Azer is an excellent doctor. I find him so easy to talk to and he explains everything.

He has been my family doctor my entire life. I think he’s gotten worse. He is very anti drugs. I was suffering from depression and he told me just to exercise. He thinks everyone in New Waterford is a drug addict. He really lacks empathy He did write me a note for work very quickly. He’s my parents doctor and they like him. He’s not all bad I just think he needs to give medication when needed and be less condescending. His assistant is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She is wonderful and excellent at her job.

I have concerns regarding this doctor. He refuses to help me with the pain I suffer. The pain can be unbearable. I'm not one for taking pain drugs extra-strength Tylenol only. If I suggest something other than a narcotic for the pain relief he looks at me & says NO!  At one point he commented on some patients faking pain, mental health, so on. This made me extremely angry. Although, this is not my only issue with him. If I advocate for myself he will not take me seriously. He doesn't like hearing suggestions from me. Physicians have a duty to act in the best interests of their patients or so I thought. Patients are entitled to be treated with respect, their concerns addressed earnestly and seriously. A doctor-patient should work together for a patient's quality of health. You would think, right? Most would say, I'm lucky to have a doctor but am I? I would much prefer a doctor who actually listens to my concerns. A doctor who is willing to help. A doctor who doesn't paint every patient with the same brush. Why should people in agonizing pain need to suffer?
I hope to find an option on what I can do. With the doctor shortage in Nova Scotia, I feel my options are grim, sadly. Why is he allowed to put patients through such torment?

I suffer from extreme stomach pain from a condition I have. Every time I see him he won’t give me anything. I’m on day 6 in hospital is incredible pain to the point I’m passing out. I haven’t slept in days and his solution was to send me to a shrink because it’s all in my head. He’s absolutely horrible and if you can AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Doctor? More like QUACK!!! If you have a genuine condition and are in desperate need of pain medication, you will be turned down and considered a drug-seeker. No matter what the condition, you will be treated like there is nothing wrong and turned away. This man is only here for one reason and one reason only, to see people suffer. Anyone that would give this joke a high rating must not have much wrong with their health. His staff are just as negligent as he is. The only thing they can do is cover each other's backs. You people should be ashamed of yourselves for the amount of suffering you cause to your patients. You don't deserve to be a pain specialist because you don't understand what real pain is. The only thing he cares about is the money he makes. He is not worth one cent, better yet 6 figures a year. Useless... pure useless.

I’m in the process of liver failure and if there was a time I wished they actually were available it’d be now. The receptionist once again forgot to send in papers for an appointment, my fathers heart tests were also forgotten about. If there’s a sudden death in my family, know it wasn’t sudden and we tried to heal ourselves, we were just waiting for the office to open.
