I find Dr Gear very judgemental, rude to anyone who enjoys hockey or physical sports.I ask for root cause solutions to my health problems rather than drugs which she is hesistant to do. The receptionist is rude, demanding of my time not hers. Customer service lessons required in that position. Her regard to males less than positive. The way she talks to my daughter is so differant than she talks to my sons. She is positive and encouraging with my daughter, whereas with my sons she is rude, demanding, scowling, opinionated at any replies my sons make to her. My son had a clicking sound in his right knee. When he told her that he injured it playing hockey, she told him to quit playing, before she even examined it. after examination said it was torn cartlidge and he needed an operation. I asked for an MRI as luckily enough my sister works at a MRI lab. He had a stretched ligament. There has been no follow up since the MRI was done. If I could change my doctor I certainly would.

My daughter saw this woman in Emerge and she was very rude and treated my 17 year old very poorly. I have also had to deal with this woman at Emergency in Wingham and she displayed the same arrogant condescending attitude with me as well several years ago. She needs to learn what being a doctor means.

Dr. Gear is a dedicated physician. I have found that she always follows up with issues and although she may seem abrupt she is actually very thorough and caring.

This lady is the worst doctor I have ever known. She sent my son home twice, saying his fever and cold could have only been caused by my husband smoking outside. Finally took him to a different emerg and my son was admitted and stayed in the hospital for two weeks, with double phemonia. She is sooo rude and judgmental. My sister, at 18mos had a stroke. Dr Gear looked at her and sent her home, telling her mother she was fine. When my sister became unresponsive, Dr. Gear called the POLICE and accused my father of abusing my sister. She had a stroke and is disabled for life. This womans ego puts lives at risk. She's awful to smokers and young mothers. I cant believe she even still has a license to practice

Dr Gear has been my family physician for years and I have the utmost respect for her. She is compassionate, knowledgeable and forthright. She has followed me thru 3 surguries including top notch pain control in my months preceeding a THJR. I realize she is nearing retirement and although I will miss her dearly, she deserves it. I am so greatful for the excellent care she has provided. I have also found Dr. Gear's staff to be incredibly impecable.

Dr. Gear assessed my husband's wrist at dinner while at a conference on Niagara-on-the-lake...my husband had crashed off of his triathalon bike and thought his wrist may be broken. She assessed it without hesitation and indicated that it was only sprained. Xrays today indicated that she was 100% correct. I think a doctor that loves her work as much as Dr. Gear is a rarity and any patients that have the good fortune to have her as their doctor should count their blessings. With so many doctors avoiding rural areas we should apploud doctors such as Dr. Gear. She did not need to look at my husband's wrist on her weekend off; many doctors would not have offered, we are so glad she did. THANK YOU!!!

I saw this doctor in the emerg. She was very short with me, and made me feel like I was only in emerg to get drugs. I was in pain, and I feel that my affliction deserved more attention than she gave.

She has been my doctor for as long as I can remember. Tells it straight, and very informative. I wouldn't have anyone else!
