I have a hard time trusting Dr's but I would trust my life in Dr Ogston's 100%. He's a very bright Dr and willing to think outside conventional wisdom. Now that he's retiring I'm personally going to feel lost and nervous when it comes to my health. I'm going to miss having him as my Dr. Thank you for everything Nigel. K.L.

The people at the doctors office were so nice to me and my son. And explained everything to me in a way I would understand. Over all everyone working there is doing an amazing job! -a young mom.

Dr. Ogston is one of the best I have had .He took me as a patient with a long list of medical problems. He lovingly worked through each problem and found a solution. I am more informed and healthier lifestyle than I had before. I would be devastated if he left and went somewhere else. My husband is treated by him also and finds that he had been excellent and caring he never rushes you I have spent almost an hour with him and never been rushed. I would hìghly recommend him as a doctor to anyone.

This doctor has been around for a long time. As such he is very knowledgable in many areas. He never rushes his time with you and listens well to concerns. As others have said, he is open to non mainstream approaches such as naturopathy and acupuncture. We are lucky to have him in our small town.

Likes to push matters that have nothing to do with the appointment or his place as the family physician. Rude and "traditional" about younger parents.

I had the privilege of being treated by Dr Ogston in Elliot Lake, after 3 years of open ulcers on my leg. The previous Dr, who in my opinion was a quack, gave me absolutely no treatment whatsoever! It was terrible, my leg was full of fluid, and had infection, he swabbed it, found out the problem, gave me ointment, told me to wrap my leg in tensor bandage before I even put it down in the morning, which I did! I put the tensor over the bandages, and he encouraged me to walk on it and go up and down stairs to get my heart rate up, and within a month, the whole thing was healed! I found him very knowledgeable and compassionate! Wish he was still my DR!

The best GP our family has ever been to. Very inelligent, hands on and helpful. Listens well and is very willing to research and find the problem, unlike most Dr of today. If you want to help yourself, he is more than willing to help you. I would like to know where he ended up, not sure if back in Huntsville..We would appreciate it, if anyone know where he is practising now, if they'd post it. It was our understanding he was going into NP medicine exclusively in Huntsville area, but I haven't been able to locate him...

BEST family doctor we ever had. Too bad he decided that the health care system was in a shambles and went into accupuncture and herbology only. He is the new kind of doctor, ahead of his time, who combined the best of natural and mainstream medicine. He didn't buy into the courting of big pharma so I'm not surprised he didn't feel it was viable for him to remain as a family doctor. I so wish we could see him now, as the new doctors sit behind computer screens for appts, don't touch their patients and completely rely on high tech screening devices that disconnect them from any true ability to discern a condition or be a healer of any kind. Nigel Ogsten truly is a healer. That is why in my opinion, that he felt compelled to leave mainstream medicine. I and my family miss him greatly.

Doctor has a huge God complex. Will scream at you for no reason. Thinks 14.3 is a OK blood sugar rating. Wants you to quit all your meds and eat fruits and vegetables and you will be OK! Will cut you off any and all meds at a moments notice if you dare to question or disagree with him. Presently hanging his worn out shingle in Thessalon Ont, his welcome in Elliot Lake did not last long. Avoid this Charlatan if at all possible! I now am without medicial services because I "asked" questions!
