I made the stupid mistake of allowing this guy to replace my left knee. He did a bad job. I've been told it's loose and not in there right in addition to being to big for my anatomy. He's an arrogant man---never wanted to talk about my knee, just his grandkids. He's too old and arrogant to be doing any surgeries. There are newer techniques used now by younger orthopedists and he is far too arrogant to learn them. Do not use this guy. He once bragged he could do a knee replacement in 35 minutes. That should have been a red flag for me, but I listened to my mother (89 years old) instead of doing my homework to find a good surgeon. This man has ruined my life as I have to probably have a revision surgery due to perpetual pain, swelling and poor range of motion (90 degrees). Don't let this man touch you!

Caution!!! This man should not be doing surgery! He did not see me after surgery, and I had complications. My bilateral knee replacement leaves me in pain always! Hemoglobin was 7.3, no one ordered a blood transfusion until 2 weeks later. I was not rehabilitated at advocate lutheran general, no one arranged a manipulating to improve range of motion, which now is less than 70% Right knee, 93% Left knee. When I asked him why he didn't follow me after surgery, he said "It s not my fault" in a rude whiney self-absorbed tone. He is only doing surgery now "to put my grandchildren through college". I wish I could turn back the clock.

Should change his name to Dr. No Show. This Dr. is so highly rated but the way he runs the office is almost criminal and cruel. Left without ever seeing the Dr. Waited over 2 hrs. Counted 9 other people waiting around, some standing as there were no more seats left. You can tell each person was in a lot of pain. Unacceptable.

Dr. Goldstein is a master of orthopedic surgery. He is one of the best surgeons in the country. I had a double knee done, and I was not worried because Dr. Goldstein was my surgeon. He uses the best material in the replacement knee, and he makes sure his patients are well cared for. When you as a patient go in for surgery, you want the best to be operating on you! All of this stuff about hearing rude comments in the hall and waiting for an hour is pretty trivial. Dr. Goldstein does a tremendous amount of surgeries, of course he is going to need assistants and PA's. I am sure they learn alot from the best!

We have had the worst experience with this doctor. Doctor pays no attention and let my husband be in excruciating pain for 3 days and on morphine and other heavy drugs refusing to do an MRI on an injured knee. On the fourth day another doctor ordered an MRI and found that there is fluid there. All the pain could have been avoided if only he took a little time to look at the patient and not send his residents in.

I was so shocked when I heard him talking to his son, who I guess is also a doctor, right outside my room. They were so rude, talking about some patient and how fat she is, and how she isn't even Jewish like them. I also waited for over 3 hours to see him, and he talked all about himself and how he knows some spine surgeon who is doing bad surgery. He just seemed so weird to me. Stay away.
