Dr. Dang has a very gentle and compassionate nature. She listened to my problems and explored my underlying mental issues. She redirected my negative thought process. She adjusted my medication to find the right balance. I was able to improve enough to finish treatment!

Dr. Dang is not very helpful. She never remembers me, and she doesn't listen to my symptoms. Her staff and she herself speak poor English. Her best advice to me was literally "Don't worry. Worrying doesn't help".I would seek another Doctor if I were you. She simply stares at your file, stares at you as you speak, nods, and re-writes prescriptions.

Very knowledgeable and very helpful. She was the third psychiatrist I went to for help and she was the most caring, responsible and pleasant to deal with as a person.

I have been seeing her for a year since other psychiatrists in this area are unavailable. If you want a psychiatrist that is only helpful for prescribing medications and refilling prescriptions, she is for you. Dr. Dang is never helpful - she would go through a list of medications and ask you which one you would like to try. I feel as if I know more about psychiatry than she does. I have asked her for written documentation explaining my illnesses, and she would write a letter with a paragraph DURING my 15 minute office visit. Also, her office staff is incompetent and speaks very little English. The wait is unpredictable, prepare for up to 45 minutes. I am trying desperately to find another psychiatrist. Avoid her at ALL COSTS!

I went to see her for postpartum depression. She did no testing, no real interview, nothing. I had already been placed on a medication by my OB(that wasn't working too well). All she did was tell me (in so many words), to "buck up" and smile and it would get better. She also told me that my relationship with my husband would get better if I would clean the house more and smile at him when he got home from work because "a man likes to see a clean house and a happy wife after a long day." I was flabbergasted. The worst part was she told me to stop breastfeeding and looked at me like I was the biggest freak on the planet for continuing to breastfeed my 8-month-old - "he can take a bottle now, you know." Unbelievable. I can't believe this woman ever graduated from medical school, much less a with a psychiatry specialty.
