Dr.hazzel has been my family doctor since birth and never noticed my severe scoliosis. After I had surgery at SickKids, he never checked up on me. The new doctors that took over are no better. They sent me to a specialist who doesn't work with scoliosis and then made false accusations causing me to quit my job. So many things could of been avoidable if they knew what they were doing. I will never live a normal life because of they're irresponsibility

Pretty KOOL DR. had him for my dr. for over 15 years, no problems whatsoever, looking at some of the negative comments, I can only surmise that those patients had underlying non-medical issues, strange how they would stay with him for years, and then leave negative feedback...June 2019

I’ve read some of the other comments and have a hard time understanding any of the negative ones. He is relatively punctual, always take his time talking to me about non medical concerns to get the full picture of my health, and always provides good and restrained medical solutions.

Nothing to do with the doctor just the other staff members. Fax machine never works. When I called about the issue the receptionist said "I don't know what to tell you." I don't know, maybe try to fix it?

Dr. Hazell is an amazing Doctor. I have never once thought he didn't listen to what I was saying and he takes myself and my children's concerns seriously. I've never felt dismissed and I find it comforting he doesn't hand medication out like candy. I will be so sad when he retires!

The best thing I've done medically was to leave him.
If he really cared about the people that are still seeing him he would retire.
Absolutely uniformed as well as arrogant.
Don't let the fact that he will see you in a day or two misguide you into thinking he's punctual. He might as well not be in the same room when your there.
If a specialist outlines a secific treatment for you to follow you can 90% guarantee he won't follow their instructions.
I have nothing good to say about his ability to diagnose anyone for anything.
Can't say he's a joke because there's nothing amusing about him. Nothing but horror stories from friends and family that still see him!
He needs to get over his superiority nonsense and retire.

Treats women with disrespect. Particularly older ones like my mother. He would not answer her question if it was O.K. for her to be eating an egg every day. He just kept writing her scripts out. He knows that the least amount he talked...the quicker she would be out of there. He is very intent on being on time with his appointments. I would say more so than the quality of care he gives. The faster in the faster out. The more patients he sees, the more he makes per hour. I know another elderly lady whom had a boil. For six months & six visits all he did was prescribe antibiotics. Easy customer, easy money. And you wonder why germs becoming immune to antibiotics making them not as effective. When she went the hospital for an emergency for an unrelated issue it was dealt with immediately. He could have keep it up for how many more visits had this not happened. More easy to diagnose visits = more easy money. I was in a doctors office yesterday & heard the patient in the next room getting a boil lanced on the first visit with it & the sigh of relief could be heard by everyone in all the rooms. Think of all the suffering this lady I know went through unnecessarily. With Dr. Hazell it is all about the money. His father was a doctor & I'm of the opinion he taught Paul how to make the most of it in the shortest time possible. He may know his trade, but he is definitely using it to his advantage instead of using it to care for his patients & the rest of society.

Curmudgeonly, stubborn, horrible bedside manner and dismissive. He delivered me and has seen me for 27 years, in that time he has been unhelpful and judgemental. I saw another practioner via referral for a unrelated issue who found out about some of the other issues I have and told me I should be concerned and investigate with my GP he felt that it may be the underlying problem that manifested the other symptoms. When I told doctor Hazel he dismissed it all without looking into it and treated me like a hypochondriac. I don't know if he has always been this way or if its a product of his old age. He is a useless GP and I am switching practices.
