Nothing new ... Great doctor with intolerable wait times. I agree with others that he listens well but obviously doesn't listen re his time management. Why not commit to either the hospital or the family practice. Both isn't working. It's inexcusable and unprofessional to expect that patients (who are busy professionals too) should come and wait for hours beyond the appointment time.

He misdiagnosed me said I had bipolar, put me on a whole bunch of meds. Ended up getting worse couldn't function, couldn't think and gained a bunch of weight due to the wrong meds. Switched to a new doctor in Langley, best doctor ever he took the time to figure out what was wrong instead of shoving down pills. He found out I have anxiety and depression. He took me of those crazy pills Dr newton had me on. I'm finally on the correct stuff and am doing much better. Oh I also don't wait stupid hrs to see my new doctor. I left Dr newton about 5yrs ago so happy I did.

Dr. Newton is the most amazing doctor I have come across. Although his wait times can be over an hour, it is worth the wait because he takes the time to listen to what you have to say. His staff are very friendly as well. I highly recommend him as a family doctor!

Dr Newton is knowledgeable and quick to respond with appropriate tests and referrals when needed. He really listens to his patients which is an amazing quality. I've been mid diagnosed more than once by doctors that brushed me off. It is much easier these days to get an appointment and i have also talked with him on Medeo when I needed to have prescriptions filled. This is a great feature Punctuality is his biggest drawback but he is worth the wait.

Dr. Newton is a nice man and a decent doctor, but he has spread himself way too thin. You will very seldom get in to see him without his being at least an hour late. I appreciate the fact he is busy working at the hospital and so forth, but his time is not only time that is valuable. His staff leaves a great deal to be desired, likely because they continuously are fielding complaints from upset clients. I went in some time ago about a physical issue which was preventing me from being able to work. He told me he would get me in to a specialist immediately. It's now 7 wks later and I have heard nothing. When I called to inquire, the staff told me there was nothing in my file about the visit. After calling 4 times and requesting a call back from him, I have yet to hear anything. Pretty poor show for a supposed professional.

I have been with dr Newton for just over 13 years now, and althought I do have to agree, wait times are INSANE!! When you do get in to see him.. he HEARS what you are saying, if he doesnt understand/know about something, he WILL spend the time to find out, often, im sure, after working hours. He is a VERY busy Dr, often running rotation in the hospital (as well as trying to keep his practice going) and for the longest time, appointments were like winning the Dr Lottery. HOWEVER. He will not dismiss you, like so may dr's often do. and he takes the TIME to HEAR YOU! (which could explain the lateness... since he's often going over "alowed time" He believes a patients quality of life is directly related to how they FEEL, and has done wonders in MY life. Oh yeah, and when my husband passed away... I had come into the office to pick up a prescription from the front desk... he IMMEDIATELY pulled me into his office, to see HOW I WAS DOING!.. WITHOUT an appointment.. OR ANY wait at all. He ALSO

I have made 3 appointments within the past year, I have yet to see him. He has cancelled, for various reasons. Today I had an appointment at 2:15 PM. I arrived early so as not to miss him. After waiting until 3:45 and numerous other patients got in ahead of me, I finally blew up, the receptionast could care less. This appointment was for a check-up, for I have been having chest pains, and dizzy spells. I cannot understand how Dr. Newton can explain away this kind of conduct!!

I have been Dr. Newtons patient since Dr. Brear hand picked him, he is only my second dr since birth! HOWEVER I have been trying to get a follow up visit since my emergency room stay in December, I am now told they only book appointments on Tuesdays, well I have calle dover 300 times today and they arent even answering the telephone! My blood pressure stats are sitting in the 174/111 plus state and I need to see him. I also have a huge issue with his wait times, I am on time for my appointments, he is not, I have not had a wait time under 2-3 hours in a few years now. He is very knowlegable and very helpful IF YOU can get in to see him. I beleive he has taken on too many patients and with his hospital time and walk in patients we are all suffering. I dont want a new doctor, he is my whole families doctor and knows our history. Doc PLEASE get some proper office management in and drop the walk ins if it means your patients get better service from you!
