Had a hemorrhoidectomy with Dr Snider in March.

No complaints. I cracked some "pain in the a** jokes" got a smirk out of him. He answered any questions i had. I called him the next day after the surgery and left a message with his office, not even 30min later he called me back and answered more questions.

Had a follow up today, and because of 1 of the complications that occurs from the surgery, i need a quick follow up surgery. Not because of the Dr. But because of the original procedure.

For those writing review saying you needed to get another surgery, is it because it's part of the complications that arise from your surgery?

After an abnormal colon check I had to have a colonoscopy. I was very nervous and Dr Snider put me at ease. I felt no pain at all! Highly recommend this doctor!

He did gallbladder surgery, got a major infection called Actinomycetes! A second bacteria also showed up. Had to be referred to infectious disease doctor, the infection turned then into a Staph infection along side the other infections. Fought the infection over a year, 10 months of antibiotics, now he wants to remove my belly button because the infection won’t completely go away! I do not recommend at all, I know 5 other people who have gotten an infection from his surgeries. One guy who has been fighting the infection over 5 years now. Please avoid this surgeon at all costs!!

I’m the person who published a review in December. I have a different surgeon who now has to redo what he has done. He botched me terribly. Many post op infections. Doctor board doesn’t care.

Have numerous massive incisional strangulated hernia repair surgery by him. Suffered numerous post operation infection.

Had a pilonidal sinus that 's been really awful for 20 years. Avoided the surgery after hearing how terrible it was. Finally things got so bad had to get it done. Dr Snider removed the entire cyst and there has been no reccurrence in almost a year. Best of all he closed it with a discreet central incision. Just a little foundation and no one is the wiser. Thanks doc. Downside, he's busy as heck.

He didn't explain any procedures to me and he did NOT even book a follow up after telling him I'm diabetic. He was in a rush to get things done.

He botched my surgery and now it's horribly infected. The emerge told me that Dr. Snider needs to fix it as he did not cut a large enough drainage hole. Now, I need a second surgery and I'm terribly upset.

When he did gall bladder surgery on my 82 year old mother, she got an infection. She never got
out of the hospital. She died a week later.

I first met Dr Snider several years ago. I had a colonoscopy and they found a tumour. Because he was on top of things, I avoided a liver biopsy. He did a bowel resection to remove the tumour but I had to go to London for my liver surgery. My experience in Sudbury was way better even though my surgeon, in London, smiled more. Since then, I have had a colonoscopy every two years and I have requested Dr Snider each time. Sure, he's a straight talker and doesn't get all chummy, chummy with you. Some may call it a bad bedside manner. I say, I'm seeing him to have a surgical procedure. I'm not looking for a buddy. I've never had an issue with him or any of the numerous procedures/surgeries he has performed on me. I think Dr Snider is an excellent surgeon and will request to have him for future procedures, every time.
