An excellent, caring, experienced, knowledgeable and very professional doctor who has and some very sensible and unique approaches to health care, for example 24 hour fasting once a week to assist in weight loss and reducing blood pressure medication from two pills a day to one pill with no adverse effect on BP. Dr. McDougall's receptionist, Tammy, is also a very pleasant, well organized and efficient lad to deal with.

Just seen this Dr at 10am, explained issues I am currently having and he told me it was God's way of telling me that I need him in my life. I explained that I do not have the same views as him and he kept pushing religion. He also told me thst worry is God's way of telling me something needs to change in my life. I suffer from severe anxiety, depression and high blood pressue, he did nothing in way of helping me. I am now unmedicated and have no idea where to turn.

Told me everything I did not want to hear but it was true. Stop Smoking, Drink Less Alcohol, Less Coffee and Get Exercise and we may be able to treat this sleep problem. He took time to explain how this contributed to anxious feelings and not being able to rest.

Took our daughter to the hospital as she was in severe pain (belly), he was on duty. With no context he claimed it was from stress, and that she needed to seek "spirituality" in her life otherwise she won't be able to get by, especially tried to drive this home when he ascertained we were non religious. Did no tests, nothing based on science or medicine, just undermined our parenting and made her feel bad about herself. This man needs his license removed. We're following up with a formal complaint.

Went to him for 2 years with the same problem. My last meeting he told me I should start attending church and pray. I was so offended I didn;t know what to do. I wrote a letter and complained to the NB Physicians board.
