I am 20 years old and Dr Crichton has always been my family doctor. I severely injured my knee a couple years ago to the point where I could not walk for months, but unfortunately was living in Ottawa for the year. He refused to send out an MRI requisition even though no one in Ottawa could give me one and I could not afford to travel back home. I finally scraped up$200 to travel 6.5hrs to Sudbury and then he cancelled the appointment. After months of begging his office to fax one over to Ottawa, he finally did. When I got the call from him with the results he told me absolutely nothing was wrong. I was still unable to go up stairs or extend my leg and was in a lot of pain. Flash to a year later, I now live in TO and my knee is worse. I went to EMERG and they sent out an MRI request immediately (Ottawa EMERG wouldn't do it unfortunately). A week later I find out I have post traumatic arthritis in my knee due to the initial injury, a frayed meniscus ligament, evidence of a past MCL injury as well as a 1.5cm X 1cm hole in the cartilage in my knee. I was repeatedly told nothing was wrong for years even though I could literally not walk properly. Had I had any other doctor that would pay attention to what I was saying from the beginning, I feel I would not have been suffering this long. Now there isn't much I can do besides take Cortisone shots for the paint and potentially injections into the hole in my knee. If you want to be listened to or want a doctor that actually looks at results, choose someone else. I'm 20 years old, unable to work and restricted to crutches.

Ive had Dr Crichton for years. He doesnt seem to care about his patients anymore. I have an autoimmune disease, which he has always brushed off. I choose to stick with my specialist after attempting to get my medication refilled. His office gave my pharmacy a hard time then sent the wrong dose. Had i been someone not as educated on the disease i couldve really messed up my system.
He doesnt check my children good enough at their check ups. He does not talk to him or even look at them. My toddler had Xrays and no one called with the results. I had to book another appt ( a month wait) just to find out my toddler did need surgery. He had many issues including sleep apnea and they took forever to give me a referral. I avoid going there as much as I can now. I do not recommend him at all.

Hurt my back at work a few years ago and it hasnt been better since so i went and saw him and he told me to get an xray. When the results came back i asked if there was anything we can do to help the issue because i get pains almost every day and he told me it was just general wear and tear. A 20 year old with back pains everyday... So i got a copy of the xray and went and seen another doctor and they notice some miss placed disks in my spine.

Top notch care. Strong Patient advocate. Empathy for patient and fully electronic patient notes and office management. He is the best doctor in Sudbury! I want to steal his play list from the music he plays in his personal office that you can just barely hear from patient rooms

Dr. Crichton has been our doctor for the past 1 5 years. I have always found the staff to be helpful and pleasant, the wait time is never long and have even had Dr. Crichton apologize once for being a little longer than usual. He is a very knowledgeable doctor. and very approchable. He listens when you talk and gives answers to questions asked. He did not hesitate to refer me to a specialist when needed.

Dr.Crichton has been my family physician for many years, he is funny and kind and he is open to my suggestions to assure my mind is at ease, he is not a pill pusher and I feel like he encourages living a healthy active lifestyle. His entire staff is wonderful, if your appointment is at 10am, you are seen at 10am! I will be lost when he retires

Not a caring doctor. You feel like you are wasting his time. Beside, after years with one issue, he told me to see a naturopath. Another doctor cured me at the first visit. I will see the nurse practitioner from now on.

The coldest doctor I have ever come across. He missed cancer in a family friend and he has awful bedside manner. A doctor stuck in his ways who is putting people's lives at risk.
