Dr Sabalesky was recommended to me when she establishing herself in Houston, TX. I thought that I was suffering from severe depression. After councilling and several different meds, she diagnosed me with OCD. It took some time. Of course, that opened the door for trials with other meds. But, she never gave up on me and finally found the correct meds for me. She is kind, compassionate, very smart, and always up-to-date with medical conditions and medications. I have been her patient for almost 20 years. She is always there for me when I need her. In her field, I imagine that her patients are especially difficult to help and diagnose. Our minds are not normal but no one wants to hear that. Part of her therapy is to help her patients accept that and go on to live mostly normal lives. I am living proof. I know myself as I am and can deal with it, thanks to Dr. Sabalesky.

Please avoid this doctor. She was freezing cold and arrogant. She showed no emphathy at all and accused me of faking my severe symptoms. She then abruptly cut me off from any treatment when she knew I had nowhere else to turn. I was very sick and in a desperate situation. She failed to diagnose my bipolar disorder and refused to give me any medications at all even though I was suffering horrificly from a catatonic depression. She actually encouraged me to move out of my parents' house and live under the freeway. She told me that she saw "nothing good about my life at all" when I was suicidally depressed. Please spare yourself or your loved one from being tormented by this person.
