Dr Pond almost cost me a child, his refusal to listen to other doctors instructions and the the nurses who had handled me previously put both my baby and I at risk. His lack of belief in the new technology is disappointing.

I recieved an amio from Dr. Pond to find out if my daughter was affected by a genetic disorder in our family..mainly targeting males. The results came back and the baby was a girl and he brushed it off like she's a girl and it will be fine. So I assumed that my daughter was a carrier like myself. Turns about around the age of 2 I noticed my child wasn't progressing like the other children. Turns out after seeing a genetic dr here in town my daughter was affected even before birth which was stated on my amio results, taken by Dr.Pond. Since then my daughter has had to wait for the necessary help since the waiting lists are so long for physio, and speech. I feel that after what I have heard from others in town about Dr. Pond's behaviour that others are lucky he isn't practising anymore.

This Dr. is the very best at what he does. He was super helpful and very caring. He is to the point (that may be why some comments suggest his bedside manner is lacking)but I welcomed this and certainly appreciated him not beating around the bush. His staff were great and I would recommend him to anybody having a baby, especially if it's a complicated pregnancy. He literally saved my child and me as well. Great Dr for sure.

He was my gyn for many years when he was based in Toronto and then in Hamilton. In my opinion he was outstanding and I was very concerned when he upped and moved up north - and have definitely not had the same kind of care since then. I am STAGGERED at the kind of comments I read on this site. He was always outspoken and direct, but this was a major plus as far as I was concerned.
