I am pretty sure that Dr. Boyd wrote the review under this one herself. There is a tool for the scrips but there is also a cell phone used for texts and a phone for calls. I have been told that they were personal calls by her on several occasions. How would a patient know that there are office emergencies or issues with other patients? Giving that information to another patient seems quite unproffesional to me. I have never been treated so poorly by someone who is supposed to be a professional. I won't even get started on the dogs.

I disagree with a lot of what is written. I have been seen for 2 yrs at BPPA. I saw a tx there who helped me a lot. Also, I was sent to Dr. Boyd by my tx. She sometimes runs late, because of emergencies in the office or crisis with other ptnts. When she did see me she was on point, always asked how I was,and she knows her meds. Boyd figured out that I "had Lyme Disease” (without a blood test) just by what I reported to her…my PCP missed it. I think that people are confused about her “texting”(I can attest as I work in Medicine). They use a tool which looks like a Blackberry, but it's a computer based Rx Pad which allows Dr.’s to send your script into the pharmacy. When I’ve been with Dr. Boyd she is not “texting,” she is sending my Rx to my pharmacy. I enjoy the dogs, they add some humor to the session. I’ve also seen the tx(s) ask to “borrow a dog” for sessions, the kids ask for it. There was a time when they were changing computer systems where apptmnts got confused but that's resolved

I like the dogs, and they helped my daughter be at ease: good therapy dogs. This office deals with difficult cases, and we got help here that we could not find elsewhere. They helped us understand ourselves and stop fighting. Maybe late, but there for us. Very knowledgeable and explained carefully @ medications to us.

Everyone on this forum has said it best. I have never been to a more dismissive, cold, and self-important MD in my life. I've waited over an hour in the waiting room, just to have her take the person after me. She has absolutely no regard for your time. She prescribed me a med that was not agreeing with me, and then in my next appointment vehemently demanded to know who put me on that med. Following each appointment, I am left feeling more and more distrustful of her. She is prescribing meds, and has no recollection of doing so. Definately a doc that has way too many patients, and not enough where with all to treat them. She is disorganized, and her office is cluttered an chaotic. Not a good stage for sound, relaxing treatment. And the dogs........ my character limit will be up if I go any further.

RUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN from this place. I am in the process of filing a complaint with HIPAA about her. I was seeing another dr. there which I liked a lot. All the good doctors leave. She is VERY VERY rude. The staff is a joke. They actually lost my file and can't find it. Another time they game me a receipt with some other patients name and address on it. I had to wait over an hour to see her only for her to tell me she can't give me a refill on my meds cuz she can't find my file and didn't know what he other doctor had prescribed. I'm going to report her.

I can only echo the previous comments about punctuality and scheduling. She is very knowledgeable about the latest meds, but I sometimes felt she prescribed them to me because they were "new" not because she thought they were what I needed. She never discussed side effects, even though I have a weight problem and one of the meds she gave me is known to add weight on. Instead she offered me diet meds. The dogs were ok but I can see how they could annoy someone. Most importantly, I felt my feelings were discounted and unimportant. I always felt she liked by therapist (a psychologist) more than she did me!

Horrible experience. She cares more about her 2 dogs than her patients. Appointments are 15 min. and you will be lucky to get 5 with her. During the 7 months I have been there I have received at least 8 calls cancelling my appts. due to scheduling errors. Once I showed for an appt. and waited half an hour only to be told that they forgot that the doctor cancelled. The other time they told me to come in 15 minutes later and they were still unable to see me. This place is a joke and I finally found another place to go. Honestly the patients all talk about the messy scheduling so it's not just me. I am 49 years old and have NEVER experienced this at a doctors office. I'd rather wait at my OBGYN for 2 hrs. than deal with this place. Who runs this place anyway???

Always late (wait times can be up to 1 hour if she is not in the mood). Nasty to office staff - in front of clients no less. Likes to hand out meds and pile them on if you are not getting better. Does not listen to concerns about meds, does not return calls (even when meds are causing reactions). Avoid this practice - sorry that I am not able to rec. another Dr. - I'm still looking! Seriously, it's a miracle that she has not been investitgated or sued!

Dr. Boyd is absolutley one of the rudest, meanest doctors I've ever met. I went to her to get help for my daughter, and not only was she not helpful, she was completely rude!!

I was seeing a different psychiatrist in the office, whom I liked very much. She took the time to listen to me. I know that she had been getting flack for taking too long with patients. I could tell this office was all about making the money.. not helping the patients. If you should have needed to cancel an appointment under 48 hrs.. no matter what the excuse is.. they would charge you for a missed appointment. How are you suppose to know you are going to be ill 48 hrs in advance?? I really thought having the dogs there was very unprofessional and a nuisance. It seems that Dr. Boyd was only interested in herself and making money. The billing system they had prior to the change was ridiculous. I swear I paid a few things twice because it was so confusing I just couldn't tell. Neither could the clerks. Unfortunately, there are good doctors & therapist at this practice. Just avoid Boyd and be prepared for your session to end on time.. no going over!
