My ex wife found him and brought our 8 year old daughter to him who was having behaviors at her Mothers house. Within minutes he diagnosed my daughter, me, and my ex wife as bi-polar. He put my daughter and my ex on meds. I refused. After months of pure hell my ex finally chose a different Dr. for our daughter because her kidneys were shutting down. I work in the mental health field and could never have imagined a worse experience. I purposely pushed his buttons so he would vent his anger towards me and not my daughter. I truly believe that she would not be with us today if she continued seeing him.

Every now and then I look in on the comments concerning this doctor. My one visit to him over 17 years ago still haunts me apparently. I used to think that for some reason he instantly despised me on sight which would accounted for a session which amounted to almost 2 hours of being shouted at and Insulted.....ridiculed and of course being pronounced bipolar. Me... a timid hesitant and careful person almost incapable of any impulsive or reckless behavior... very premeditated in fact...I’m bipolar? Reading these other comments made me realize I’m not alone in my experience at all.

This Dr. did the same to me. He heavily medicated me, he yelled at me all the time, was so unprofessional and heavily medicated me. I’m reading how a lot of people don’t want him to stoo practicing and go to jail.

Brought my son to this so called doctor diagnosed him in one visit as bipolar and started him on a very aggressive medication regime with weekly labs and including levels of the drugs turned the boy into a zombie, then convinced my wife she needed treatment and tried to do the same to me. In the end i got them both away from this quack and he is lucky i didnt slap the blank out of him.

Worst thing that ever happened to me. Within the first 3-5 minutes he LABELS you bipolar. He then put me on such high doses of medications, that I was told by another Dr. were the highest he had ever seen. I was Age 42 at the time and my period stopped. He said the meds chased it away. I had no improvement,, in fact felt far worse. : unable to concentrate, exhausted needing naps, weight gain of 60 lbs. No insurance is accepted, and I believe at the time each visit was approx $125-$150. He insisted My Mother accompany me to each visit . I was a 42 yr old adult. And, he keeps you dependent, by insisting further ongoing treatment is necessary. It has since been determined I show no indications of Bipolar. I am clinically depressed. CAVEAT: stay away.

My wife and I had brought our boy to see him in one visit diagnosed him as bipolar and put him on meds. This so called doctor demanded the most expensive forms of the medication be used and weekly lab tests to check blood levels these medications have a range at which they are effective and it is quite wide he insisted that he had to be at the upper edge nearly toxic range . Then decided that my wife needed treatment and I as well i wont say what i told him here. This "doctor" is an idiot and a quack and should loose his licence.

Had a very horrible experience like so many others. It’s crazy to think he can misdiagnosis so many people with bipolar and put them on an insane of of medicine. He yells, is condescending towards woman. He made my husband be in all meetings and on phone calls as if I wasn’t competent enough to make my own decisions about my own body. He didn’t have any sympathy or empathy for my situation and should not be practicing medicine. I too will be complaining to board of psychiatry as those institutions should know about his practices. If I could give him a zero rating I would.

I wish there was a chance to leave a ZERO. Because that is the kind of provider he is. He should not be practicing.

I would actually give him zero stars. He diagnosed my dad as bipolar, also did the PowerPoint and took months to get the competency report he promised in one day. It was null and void at that point and cost $1000. He is a scam artist and needs to pay for ripping off my elderly father. He did the same thing in my dads appointment, constantly answering phone calls. So unprofessional. We called him constantly, but he would never call us back. He has a beautiful house paid for on the likes of the people he scammed. I hope he goes to jail, it's what he deserves.

My son was depressed due to tragic death of a friend. Steve heavily medicated him and said he was bipolar. He was very unkind and unsympathetic. He pushes meds only. He is a disgrace to the medical profession.
