Dr Cornell is an extremely knowledgeable and caring physician. She treats all her patients as VIPs. She goes above and beyond the call of duty to get the best & most accurate treatment for her patients all while showing kindness and caring for her patients. I am very fortunate to have her as my doctor!

I had surgery to remove my parathyroid glands three years ago. When I woke I vomited immediately and could not speak or swallow. She had damaged the nerve. What should have been a pretty quick surgery ended up being 5 hours. The next week I crashed as my calcium plummeted and ended up back in the hospital. She showed up twice, once when I first showed up via ambulance in the hospital and once during a morning round and she wasn't comforting at all. She was on a phone call telling someone she was having a bad day and that her patient was crashing. When I asked why this happened, she jokingly told me she tortured me. No bedside manner and lack of empathy. Although a lot of nerve function has returned, I can talk now, I still have issues swallowing.

She has zero bedside manor, however she is an amazing doctor who I trust. I could careless about her empathy, I want her knowledge and expertise. Her staff is OK. The women who sets up my MRI's is amazing & friendly. The front desk ladies are hysterical!! Love them. The nurses not so friendly.

I have to agree with the people here who said she's unempathetic. As I explained my situation with a blood clot, she seemed to be a distant and uncaring observer. She sat with her chin or her hand and simply told me the blood clot could be the big "C" - which it wasn't, by the way.

Excellent ...listens, asks clarifying questions, clearly defines the patient's medical state, reviews options and next actions, and takes control. Direct talk and looks you in the eye... Impressive and just what I want!

Very unempathetic and rude. She talked down to me and made me very uncomfortable. I do not trust her as she saw me for 5 mins. Lacks compassion. Why be a doctor if you lack compassion? I hope she understands how much her attitude affects people. Makes me never want to see another doctor. Do not see her. Please. I know a few people who saw her and thinks she really lacks empathy. She needs to see a therapist and get her emotions in check. Terrible doctor to lack empathy.

she is a completely unempathetic doctor who told me her findings were consistent with cancer. I was on my own, she spent a total of 10 minutes with me and mentioned biopsy and surgery. She didn't arrange the biopsy immediately but said they'd call me. I left shaking. I had my records transferred immediately to Mass General. When I described my experience they said "what a harsh unfeeling way to tell you something so frightening".
Never again.

She is the best! I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 35 and Dr. Cornell was the one I trusted with my life. She is all business but that's what I want in my corner when fighting a deadly disease, not someone who sugar coats things just to make me feel better. She brought out the fighter in me and answered every question I had with patience. Her knowledge is beyond outstanding. She is the one recommend to anyone who tells me they have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Love her!
