Dr. Mahaffey has been my OB/GYN for 19 years. He's friendly, knowledgeable and remembers everything about my health and personal life at a quick glance. We have been through several surgeries together and I couldn't ask for a doctor with a better bedside manner or superior skills. I recommend Dr. Mahaffey to all of my female friends.

I had my daughter 6yrs ago and Dr. Mahaffey was my doctor he is wonderful! And so was his staff I never had to ask twice about anything I needed my delivery was very difficult & he was there every step of the way! Hes funny and very professional. I atill see him to this day! I say if you need a exceptional obgyn provider this would be your one and only stop!

This guy is great. He delivered both of my children. Any questions or problems I had he was right there. When I had my first son I had to have a c-section because he was breech. I will never forget how nice he was. I was scared and crying so what did Doc do, he started telling jokes to make me laugh. I don't know what I'll do if he ever retires.

Great doctor, I am a neonatal nurse and felt very comfortable with him. When I lost twins, he was very good. I believe he is very good doctor.

DR. MAHAFFEY HAS ALWAYS BEEN KIND AND HELPFUL......AS WAS HIS STAFF........HE SEEMED TO CARE ABOUT ME AND MY BABY ........I THOUGHT HE WAS GREAT.

This has to be the worst doctor I have ever encountered or used. His bedside manner was lacking. He made me feel uneasy during visits, and seemed more interested in his female staff than me as a patient. At only 9 weeks pregnant and having come down with the flu, I called after hours to see if there was anything I could take to help my flu symptoms and he matter-of-factly told me I could take "anything over the counter that I wanted". After reminding him that I was in fact pregnant, he shrugged it off and said "yes, I know". (!!!) Needless to say, I went to a different OB/Gyn and loved her from the get-go (Dr. Wendy Cutler in Austin). I have heard many complaints about Dr. Mahaffey from several different sources. I would NOT advise going to him. Check out your other options!

I was in labor and the doctor was off doing something else (not as important per the Nurse). The doctor did not come into the room until the baby had crowned.
