Only cares about money. Scheduling and follow-up were a nightmare, and they still haven't refunded the bill for a telemed appointment that the doctor never attended.

Would rate lower if I could. The worst doctor experience I have ever had -- stay away.
I'm serving in Iraq and planned my leave around a visit to Dr. Desai well in advance. She refused to see me for a telemed appointment that they had already checked me in and charged me for. I have yet to be refunded.
In the meantime, I came to find out that the office apparently had no record of the in-person appointment I had scheduled that I had painstakingly planned my leave around. When I tried to reschedule, they told me the doctor had no availability. I then tried to reschedule the telemed appointment I had already paid for. After rescheduling and hanging up with the receptionist, they called me back to cancel and told me that the doctor "didn't want to bother" because I'm overseas.. again, even though they had taken payment already.
I don't know why she is so miserable and greedy, but I am sure it reflects in her practice. Find another endocrinologist. This one is not worth your time or the emotional turmoil.

Worst MD I have ever seen and I've been to a lot of doctors. All she cared about was collection money. No compassion only trying to say you needed med or procedure that were not necessary. Would not help if you needed a lower price script price or contact insurance company on your behalf to lower your cost.

Worst MD I have ever seen. It's like a fly by night set up. They do your intake at the front desk where everyone in the waiting room can hear you. The doctor doesn't look at your chart before she comes in and you have to remind her what your diagnosis is. And she looks shocked when you tell her. She clearly only cares about generating income for herself and not her patients. I gave them a few chances thinking maybe today is an off day or someone called out it was the same poor rushed service and HIPAA violations in the waiting room each time. Do not go here.

Rating the staff as terrible, only because of the very painful outsourced billing department (the front-office ladies are ok). Every visit I am forced to over pay (by ~$100), and have to call multiple times and play phone tag - over 2 months each time - to get my money back.
As for the doctor herself, she is professional but those who want attention and customer service.. .. may prefer to look elsewhere.
For the recurring and ridiculous billing issues, I'm switching.

I had my first visit with her after finding out a had a thyroid problem from my physician. Seeing her was a waste of time and money. She did nothing for me and didn't want to listen to what I had to say. She just said my problem is from weight gain and to see a nutritionist. I do not like her at all. She has a rude tone and when I told her I was confused she would say "that's not what I'm asking you". I do not reccomend her to anybody. She is a total waste of your time and money.

She makes you wait and then rushes through your appointment. Talked so fast about side effects of new meds that my head was spinning. She's the only doctor that charged me up front instead of submitting to insurance then billing me. I was surprised to have to put out $160 my first visit. They automatically send prescriptions for lab work to Quest. My insurance requires me to use LabCorp. Had to call 3 times before they actually sent the script over. I have 1 more appointment with Dr. Desai but already made an appointment with another endo

One of the worst Dr I ever met. I will not go back... Staff don't return phone calls... Dr does not listen about how you feel, she knows " best" even if you are feeling worst... I would not send anyone there

She's a horrible 'doctor' (she's a DO not an MD). Terrible. I'm mad I saw her for as long as I did- I kept thinking, maybe she's right...maybe I'll give her another chance." bad idea. She has left me hanging without refilling my (necessary, daily) prescription a number of times, and then the office won't return my calls when I leave urgent messages. She contradicted something my general doctor said, so I checked with another doctor and my gyno and they both confirmed that she is completely wrong (she recommended a pelvic ultrasound b/c I don't get my period b/c I'm on the pill-- this is completely normal (according to the 3 other docs), but this doc keeps telling me it's not and that I need all these invasive tests). Stay away!!!
