The staff at the Stone Clinic was extremely friendly, helpful, and informed. I wanted to have my knee checked out, because the chronic pain there had been getting worse. There at the clinic, I was able to have my knee examined by Dr. Stone, have MRI's and X-rays done, and at the end, I had some treatment with physical therapists in the back of the office. Everything I needed was available there. Also, I really got more time with each care provider to ask questions than I am accustomed to in other offices. I felt like Dr. Stone was really helpful, and he let me know different options for my treatment, and what each route would accomplish. I decided to undergo a meniscus clean out procedure, and since the range of motion, pain, and overall feeling in my knee has improved to almost 100%.

I had a torn meniscus, climbing accident. Efficient diagnosis with in clinic MRI and short physical exam. Thorough pre-surgery analysis including outside written second opinion. Comprehensive surgery (spent extra time due to encountering unexpected damage) and follow up PT treatment by in house staff and excellent referral. Dr Stone has little time to communicate and really no desire to explain options. He figures he'll make the proper choices without any patient input. He asked me what I wanted to be able to do post op (in my case do yoga postures that require intense pressure on the knees) and he delivered. He does an excellent job with anasthesia - he so thoroughly put the knee to sleep that I discontinued pain killers after 24 hours. He runs late and really doesn't want to hear from you post op but delivers on what you are paying for - thorough, professional, creative surgery. Leave your ego at the door and appreciate the masterful service.

Good orthopedic surgeon, with excellent in house physical therapy that's also a little cheaper than others. Also involved in significant research. Decent manner (compared to lots of surgeons) BUT cash-only office, so you must get reimbursed by your insurance company and they will not deal with them. In addition they are not willing to bargain much or work with what you receive from the insurer. One small peeve, by no means common to Stone Clinic--there is limited long term follow up from their end. They didn't call about 1 year + appointments after main treatment ended, or inquire about survey outcomes--of course no one else does either--but this kind of data would be very helpful. Overall a good place to get care, especially for sports type injuries, but have your wits about you dealing with the finance and adminstration.
