I have had to call Dr Leongs office to refill a prescription several times which has still not been done 4 weeks later. His office has not returned requests for a Rx refill from my pharmacy and previously sent my Rx to the wrong pharmacy on multiple occasions. Furthermore they have not cooperated with my new doctors office by sending my file to them. Dr Leong was fine when I first started to see him, but I have found is so busy now that he has neglected me as a patient.

Shoved antidepressants at me for years and years instead of actually helping to find the real problem. My whole family didn't get help until we changed doctors. I myself am lucky I didn't end up in jail or worse dealing with my issues. Pills don't fix evey problem but this doctor seems to they they do. Do everyone a favor and retire.

I’ve been going to Dr James Leong since I was a child and I’m now in my 30’s. His staff is always quick to get me an appointment. He is a very caring doctor and never leaves an appointment without asking if you have any other questions and concerns. Great doctor!

Dr. Leong has been my family doctor since I was in my 30's, I am now in my 50's. I lived in Stoney Creek at the time, and it was a very short 2min drive. The wait in the office could be bad at times. My family relocated to Ancaster 8 years ago, and found a new local doctor. However, I still made the trip back to Stoney Creek to see him. Since Covid any interactions have been on the phone, and it's actually easier now. The bottom line is that he has always shown great sincerity, and concern about my health. He really is a good honest person!

I like many others believe the wait times are fairly long. However, many doctors offices are like this. I was going to leave, until I realized the grass isn't greener on the other side. He has always shown concern for my well being, and has done his best to fit me in. He never talks down to you, and tries to take the time to listen. He's a good guy.

All the comments about his wait times and so many people waiting is a result of him taking on his wife’s patients years ago I believe. It is hard to find a doctor in Hamilton and he is worth the wait.

I've been going to Dr. Leong since I was a baby. I now have two young children who are also his patients. Dr. Leong is a fantastic doctor- I don't have one single complaint about him. However, yes, his waiting room can get crowded and appointments can be delayed up to a half hour at times (I've learned to factor that into my schedule). As for the receptionists, I just figure that sometimes they could be having an "off" day. I mean, heck, we all have those. Love Dr. Leong and love the staff!

Dr. Leong himself is very caring, funny, and professional. I've been his patient for my whole life and never had any bad experiences with him. That being said, his office is far too busy/understaffed. You're looking at at least a week to see the Doctor for immediate issues (infections, etc.) and 2-3 weeks for non-urgent issues. My biggest complaint is that the office is always crowded, and therefore always running 20-30 minutes behind. To be treated by Dr. Leong is worth the hassle, but he needs another doctor, more office staff, and a larger space.
