Dr. Meerholz is good if you need a quick prescription. He is quick to hand them out without a real checkup. His comments towards women are often quite inappropriate for a professional office. Smacking bottoms with a clipboard, tickling tummies during examination or other inappropraite comments about perhaps taking off shirts are unacceptable. If you can get past that, he seems to be an intelligent man who can ably treat his patients. A little more time spent with patients wouldn't hurt to address concerns. I know he is busy but people care very much about their health and a little more discussion could either bring new information to light or help to alleviate concerns aiding in mental wellness as well as physical.

I find that Dr Meerholz is very knowledgeable and people who are insulting him for his dry sense of humor I cannot understand. I personlly feel more comfortable when you can joke around with your doctor and he makes me very comfortable with telling him anything. sometimes a little hard to understand but not that bad. Overall I think Dr Meerholz is an excellent Doctor and I will continue to go there. Not to mention I got in right on time and all the receptionists were very friendly. I say to everyone enjoy a doctor who isnt always serious and can really help you from there experience and knowledge

Dr. Meerholz is a great doctor. He is very overworked and cares about his patients. He has a dry scense of humor, so if you don't like that, go to a different Doctor and keep your negative opinions to yourself.

He did come across as rude, although English communication is part of the problem. He is reasonably knowledgeable, but he doesn't explain things well. Also, he can be very rough. My wife saw him when she was pregnant and she was always sore after the appointments. He is not a gentle man.

Very helpful, is willing to try different things if something is not working. He takes appointments in the morning and operates a drop in clinic only in the afternoon, so if you are going to the drop in clinic you have to be prepared to wait.

Dr. Meerholz is an awesome doctor. He is way overworked which may lead others to believe he is being rude, however he is just very frank an dto the point...he does not have time to hand hold or beat around the bush. If you are looking for a doctor to deal with your issues, he will do the best he can...if you are looking for a fuzzy warm feeling go elsewhere. Having worked in the medical field over 10 years myself, Dr. Meerholz is one of the most 'real' physicians out there. His concern are the people, and he pays more attention to the people who are active in their own healthcare rather than those just seeking pity.

I found he had a good bedside manner. Very helpful and was concerned about my medical problems. He is very overworked and sees many people daily. Maybe people should start looking towards our provincial and local leaders of government to get these doctors the help they need Come on people we got like 15 doctors and diminishing in this city. Pretty soon we'll have to go out of town for medical treatment.

My husband had a massive heart attack without suffering any symptoms. I found out a month later that this doctor knew there were problems with an ECG test that was taken two months earlier, but didn't notify my late husband to let him know something was wrong. I always thought it was common practice for doctors to notify you when they received negative test results. If he had made that phone call, my husband may be with me today.
