Dr. Tom is such a wonderful doctor! I saw him when we lived in Prince Albert and I wish he would move to Regina so he could still be my family doctor. He is very caring and respectful and always does his best to help.

I have seen this doctor for many years, and have always been treated very respectfully. He takes the time to really listen and does not rush through the appointment. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait to get in, but that comes with the territory when a doctor takes the time needed to talk with patients and not rush them out the door.I have never seen any of the moodiness that the other posters have mentioned. On occasion I have had the medical students and Dr. S-W always comes in after with the student to review everything that was discussed. I am very satisfied with the service I have received and I would reccomend Dr. S-W to anyone.

He is my 88 year old father's doctor and I find him to care very little. Questions are vaguely answered and it feels to me that because my dad is elderly our concerns are minimized. When asked about Altzheimer's he told my Dad to spell world backwards, then prescribed a medication that caused him to be almost psychotic and no follow up. Our last visit was about a swelling under my Dad's eye. He suggested eye drops and if that didn't work then a nasal spray and if that didn't work he was out of ideas and it would have to wait until a specialists appointment 5 months away! My Dad could be blind by then.

Dr Tom was my family doctor when I lived in Prince Albert. The first baby he delivered in PA was my 16 year old daughter, and he went on to deliver my other two children.I found him a warm, compassionate man, and a wonderful doctor. I only wish he would move to Saskatoon so we could have him back!

Dr. Tom ,as he is know in our house, is a wonderful and caring physician who takes the time, even when running behind, to listen to his patients. I chose him because of his laid back manner and child delivery philosophy and have never been disappointed in the care myself or my two children, both of whom he safely delivered, have received. I have often been presented with several alternatives when seeking treatment and together we agree on the solution that works best for me, whether it's seeing a specialist or staying under his supervised care. If you are looking for a physician who rushes patients in and out and prescribes copious amounts of pills for every minor ache and pain then Dr. Tom is not the right physician for you. However, if you are seeking a warm, friendly and knowledgeable Doctor as well as a strong patient advocate, then Dr. Tom is the physician for you!

A very fine man and great Doctor. He takes the time YOU require. I have ever felt rushed. If he doesn't know the answer he refers you to the appropriate specialist. He has a very full plate but is always kind and respectful. He respects your wished when you do not want his students and is professional and very confidential. You can tell he has great rapport with the nurses in the hospital and I believe that gives his patients better care too. He does not think he is God and admits it. He knows my entire family , their situation, their health care needs, and their individual personalities. He is compassionate, personable, and caring. Overall, he is human and admits it, and doesn't have all the answers...but looks into it further with specialists. A great Family Doctor and a wonderful man. I personally have never had any problems with his moodiness and would say I have never seen him that way either. One of the finest physicians in PA.

He did a circumcision on my son in 2003. It was a total disaster. He was bleeding like crazy. When I toke him back in a hour later he said that I just didn't know how to dress it properly. Hello, I had a 2 year old and I did just fine then. When he finally took a look he soon discovered that he had done it wrong. He told me he fix it. I drove home and 15 mins later another diaper was full of blood. We went to the hospital and they called in an urologist and he had to hand stitch the circumcision because there was no saving what he had done. So, I give this doctor 2 huge thumbs down!!

I had Dr. Smith-Windsor for a GP back when I really did not know any better. His layed back manner did not help any of my pregnancy concerns at all. With doing any type of specialized care as in delivery of newborns, I believe that you need to be doing this 24/7 not a couple cases here and there. OBGYN go to school for specific training and that is all they do every single day. Sometimes these doctors become too "comfortable" in there profession and only when something horrible happens do they question what type of care they are really providing to their patients. This care-free atittude affects every single person he comes in contact with. It was really hard for me to find a doctor that truly cared about me and my family, not how fast he can get you out of the office and on to the next patient so the paycheck is good next week. My trust and respect is gone for this doctor.
