Amazing group of rude people!! I am not sure how you could find a group like of mean, unfriendly people!! It is not me, I know!! I would never recommend this practice ever!! He calls himself a doctor. The doctor is never there!! You only see NP or nurses!! Don't know how he keeps his doors open!! I have never had a Doctor walk out on me in an exam room!! He did, mid-sentence!! He was mad and walked off ??. Weird dude!!

Dr. Robert Cochran retired in Dec. 2012. He sent all of our records to Ric Adkins. I didn't get to see him but I saw one of his staff, Heather Mangrum. He lowered all of my pain medicines and never talked to me. I have been on lots of meds since my back fusion in 2006 and 2007. He lowered my dosage so much that I started having withdrawls. If you have never had withdrawls, you just want to blow your brains out.I tried to get my records and they would never send them to me. I had to get my medical Dr.to try to have them sent to her, but no reply. I finally was seen by Dr.Wendy Cran Carty. She slowly got me off of oxycodone and I am on less but better medicine.I am not pain free, but I am better off without all of those oxycodones in my system. I think this so called Ric Adkins needs to be checked out by the medical board.other people that saw him said his eyes were glassed over, he went out of their room and came back wiping at his nose and kept dropping his water. check him out PLEASE.

I have been seeing Dr. Adkins for almost 2 years and I can say he is without a doubt the best doctor I've ever been to. He is very patient and actually listens to what you say. He has done numerous steroid injections and nerve blocks on both my cervical and lumbar discs, and every one has provided tremendous relief. His office staff is also phenomenal, especially his nurse Gail and Latisha. I could go on and on about how amazing I think he is as a doctor and a person. Please don't let what some of these people are saying about him based on one visit deter you from going to him. Just go in and be completely honest about whats going on and give him a chance to help you. But if you are just looking for a med pusher or for someone who's gonna give you whatever meds you ask for, he's not the doctor for you!

I had great success seeing Dr. Adkins - he alleviated my severe pain - within one month! 1) Get-your-OWN-copies, of EVERYTHING, from EVERY-DOC-YOUVE-SEEN, (detailed as possible, ASK for that) for your chronic pain problem - as far back as you've had it! (fax to Dr. as well). 2) Have YOUR copy of all those file IN HAND at your apptmt. 3) Have an OBVIOUSLY TRUSTWORTHY, long-term friend take you, and go IN with you to validate your life in chronic pain. Early apptmt is better. If you haven't had adequate testing, (Dr. Cochran did NO testing in the six years I saw him), have them done, any way you can - ASAP. KEEP contacting them, nicely, NICELY!! - until you get adequate pain relief. These people really ARE very kind, and do want to see pain alleviated. Dr. Adkins has already set up a full spine MRI to review before my next apptmt in one month. The doc changed MY meds as well 1st visit - but upon realizing and seeing the shaking, sweating mess I was in, quickly upped adequately.

I have seen Dr.Adkins on several different occasions. I have never experienced any of the things some have mentioned. I have never had to wait over ten minutes past my appointment. Dr. Adkins as well as his staff has never acted any different from what I would expect from a medical professional. He has been very cordial, very friendly, always professional, his advice has been given as to my best interest. I went there not knowing what to expect the first time but was well pleased. I didn't go in expecting to write my own prescription or make suggestions to him, I am on Medicare, which I am sure doesn't load him down with cash for my visit. I can't recall how many epidurals I have had administered by him. I live approximately two and a half hours away, were he to move further away, I would still make the drive, because I don't think I would receive any better care anywhere else.

I recently took a friend to this office. He is in very bad condition, He is on oxygen and his wait time was over four hours. He ran out of oxygen and they were only offering to give him something that he could not afford. It was a horrible place. They didnt care about his condition and didnt pay any attention to what he had to say, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Wow!! I have been a patient of doctor Cochran's for 2 years. As we all know unfortunately he has retired. I was referred to Ric Adkins. I sat for 2 hours waiting to be seen. Whenever the doctor entered the room he was cold, looked like a maniac.. Long dreadlocks, and treated me with the upmost disrespect! Within 5 minutes he had told me there was nothing he could do for me and pretty much kicked me out of his office! I take more than pain medicine! I have never been treated or talk to like this man talk to me! My advice, save your 400 dollar office visit and search for someone with a little compassion! This man is in it only for the first office visit he doesn't want doctor C's patients! I wasn't the only 1 walking out of the office in tears today! I am going to include a picture because I can't seem to find 1 anywhere on the internet and I think people should be aware of what they are walking into I am mortified!

This office is very unprofessional. I don't think they know what they are doing. I called to verify my appt and check price and payment option to make sure I brought in the right amount and way of payment. On the phone I was told that it was 260 and the follow ups would be 120. I came in promptly filled out the heap of paperwork they had for me. (An unnecessary amount.)Went to the receptionist to hand in my paperwork and was told my visit would be 385 i mentioned i was told that it would be 260 and that is all that i had and than the "office manager" approached the window and stated it was 385 or nothing and that was the new rule and it was that or no visit. No notification, no phone call, nothing. I went to the bank got my money and had to wait for 5 hours for nearly 400 dollars??! Unprofessional!

Worst doctor ever, do not go here expecting this man to help you. He only cares about himself! He is very rude and arrogant. He lies to you in order to make you think he can't help you when it's that he won't. He only wants your money so don't waste your time unless you just have extra money to throw away.
