I do not agree w the other commentd. Dr Hess although ver soft spoken is knowledgeable. Psychiatrists do not usually provide alot of actual therapy ,they are more (in my experience) are for med management. Seek out a PsyD or LCSW for thetapy

Dr. Hess is nice enough, but that is it. He uses fairly elementary ways of assessing and "diagnosing". I would not go see him other than to obtain my RX.

I found Dr. Hess clearly didn't want to do "talk" therapy which is OK, but he shouldn't put it around that he does on his business card or on the initial phone consult that he does. I felt worse leaving his office than before I stepped into it. He made a few comments that were not professional and not to the best interest of the patient. He has trouble returning calls too.
