Dr. Chitwood has been my kids doctor for over 13 years. I'm very happy with him, he is always on time , very quick, because he knows his work. My kids love him. Great doctor.

I've been taking my kids to him for 5 yrs and for past 8 mo or so he does NOT care anymore! He says frequent high fevers and a high sed rate is normal???! Always has to do. A strep test with every complaint. Took child in with pain during urination and told me she had strep??! Took her to er and she did not have strep she had uti , He is not to be trusted!!

Save your time and money and go elsewhere!He needs better answers then thats fine, thats normal, its ok! Give me a break how about a explanation.

We have used Dr. Chitwood for 15 years. I completely trust him and would recommend him to anyone. He is wonderful with kids and takes time to answer questions.

Our child's doctor is Dr. Karna, however when she is out of the office, we are referred to Dr. Chitwood. The experiences we have had with Dr. Chitwood are very unsatisfactory. All of our interactions with him have been through the phone. Every time we have had to call multiple times before he returns our call. Over the phone he is very brief, doesn't elaborate, doesn't seem concerned, and doesn't ask follow-up questions. During our most recent experience with him he seemed as if in a hurry to get off the phone. Our child had very dark brown / black loose stool and was crying desperately and Dr. Chitwood waived our concerns off saying it was "enzymes" and not to be concerned. We ended up going to the ER at NIMC and it turned out our son had blood in his stools caused by an infection. They tried to contact Dr. Chitwood and he never returned their call. The doctor at NIMC transferred him to to St. Alexis to be monitored over night. We will never deal with Dr. Chitwood ever again.

We love Dr. Chitwood! I have three children, and he is great with each of them. I do not have a bad thing to say about him or anyone in the office. Everytime we visit he is thorough and attentive to each one of my babies. Thank you Dr. Chitwood!

Dr. Rick Chitwood is an amazing doctor. He has cared for both of my daughters who were premature 4 lbs at birth oldest now 5. He is willing to sit down with you and answer any questions you may have. Hes a family man he does have children of his own and hes just an all around amaizing person to have care for your children

I have been taking my three children to Dr. Chitwood for 15yrs now. He is caring and wonderful and great with the kids. I have always felt listened to. I have been told that my child has strep only after taking a strep test. There have been many times that I have thought it might be strep and he has told me that it's not. I would highly recommend him!

I felt this dr. had 1 hand on the doorknob ready to run to the next appt. Seemed very passive, seemed to belittle a new mother's concerns. His colleauge, Dr. Karna, however is wonderful and takes her time.

This pediatrician will tell us my child has strep throat every time we visit. He even said this when my child was having an asthma attack. We went straight to the hospital after he said "strep" and found out it was indeed asthma.
