I have been seeing Dr Gehi for the last two years and have not had any difficulty with her. You need to determine the causes of your migranes so that you can tell her what you think and then work on a treatment plan together. Migranes are not all the same and treatment is very individualized.

I had my first migraine when I was about 13. It scared my family and me so badly that we went to the local ER-I thought I was dieing. They referred me to Dr. Gehi, immediately. She simply gave me Topamax, and told me to rid of any boys in my life. The medicine did not work, and she was not concerned. I would NEVER recommend her to anyone. My eye Dr. told me that he recommends his patients to a neurologist often, but that there is one Dr. in Anniston that he'd never refer his patients to. I asked, "Is it a woman?" and he said, "Yes." Dr. Gehi is the only woman neurologist in Anniston!

I saw her for chronic migrains and daytime sleepiness (over 10 years) she prescribed Topamax thatI couldn't walk when I took and Provigil which didn't work. Went back and she simply wanted to change how I took the meds., give me a sleeping pill and make me do another sleep study (I've had four now!) Her nurses have never delivered messages to her from me, never made appts. with other docs they were supposed to refer me to, and she's had three new nurses in less than 8 months, none of which seem to know what they're doing.

My eye doctor sent me to see Dr. Gehi because I was having migrains almost daily. My first visit she told me I was having migrains and <I> was going to have to find what was tiggering them,(nothing I did't already know!)She put me on TopAMAX I called the office 3 times the next week and told them I could not take them, they made my lips and hands numb and I felt like I was going to pass out all the time, the nurse said she would tell the Dr. and call me back but she never called backed. On my next visit Dr.Gehi got on to me for stopping the meds.and told me again that I was having migrains and -I- needed to find out what was triggering them.
