The staff are amazing and very polite. The Doctor exsplained everything to you and answered all my questions. His knowledge makes you feel very comfortable in knowing he will take good care of you and help you in anyway he can. The staff are also there to help you in anyway they can and always polite and thoughtful

I have had some sort of back pain for as long as I can remember. Last fall I started having pain in my legs and back - but it was different. I tried to ignore it, hoping it would pass. After much prodding from my husband this summer, I went to my current Family Medicine provider to see about the pain. She sent me for a CAT scan, and once she received the results, asked me if I had a preference for an orthopedic provider. I asked her who she would go see if she needs a provider. Dr Roh was who she recommended. He and his staff actually care about their patients. Dr Roh took the time to fully explain my options to my husband and me. I had surgery about 10 weeks ago and what pain there is, is due to healing and getting muscles to do things they haven’t done in years. I am looking forward to the rest of my life and all the things I will be able to do. Dr Roh and his staff have given me back my life!!!

We live about 2 hours from Rockford but the Rockford Spine Center was highly recommended to us. We met with Dr Shwabero to confirm our fear of a herniated disc in my husbands back. We were given options and decided surgery was best. Because we live fairly far away, the office staff was considerate of the time we have to travel. Our pre-op appointment was scheduled for the day before surgery so we didn't have to make an extra trip. We stayed in a hotel and were given the first surgery appointment of the day. Surgery was at Rockford Memorial. We got to hospital at 5:30 am and surgery was scheduled for 7:30 am. The hospital was fantastic! The staff was excellent and very caring. The surgery went great and we were discharged by 10:30 am! The whole experience was wonderful!!

thought I just had sciatica pain. It got worse with weakening in my leg so I got referred to Dr. Roh. At my initial appointment, he went over my X-rays and MRI. Turns out I had a fracture, herniated disk and a pinched nerve. He explained all of my options and went over the pros and cons of each. We decided to go ahead and remove my herniated disk and do a lumbar fusion. 6 weeks post op and I feel great! I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Roh, his PA, and the rest of the RSC staff are great. He spent time explaining all my options without pressuring me towards surgery. I ended up having surgery, and the outcome was excellent.

Dr Roh, his PA, and his nursing staff really could not have been better! My husband had a large ruptured disc in his lower back and had been in severe pain for 10 days before we were referred to Dr Roh. He was seen the next day, admitted to the hospital for pain control, and had a 17 minute microscopic surgery the next morning that relieved his pain completely! He went home the same day! The entire staff was compassionate, supportive, and accommodating, and very knowledgeable. They explained all options thoroughly. We really felt like they cared. Follow up was very good as well. They called to check on him, and we called with questions and were given immediate answers. He worked from home for two weeks, then back to work! (desk job) He had some physical therapy for strengthening as an outpatient, and back safety teaching. He still has some minor lingering pain in the hip, but it does not affect his activity level. We would highly recommend Dr Roh and is staff.

Dr. Michael Roh performed lumbar surgery to repair a herniated disc for me on May 22, 2013 and I am delighted with the result. I can't say enough good things about Rockford Spine Center, Rockford Memorial Hospital and every single individual I had contact with during this process; this includes the volunteers who helped me find my way around the hospital, nurses and staff at RMH, and everyone at RSC. I don't think I ever waited more than five minutes at any time. The staff at RMH and RSC were attentive, accommodating and gave every indication that my well-being was of the utmost importance to them. Unfortunately you don't get chance to personally thank everyone involved so I will say it here; your dedication and skill has made my life a whole lot better in a very short amount of time. I was referred to Dr. Roh by my Physical Therapist who said he was a great spinal surgeon. There are 3 individuals I know personally who had him operate on them and they all gave him high marks. I had him operate on 3 discs in my neck. All the hospital staff, both before and after the procedure, spoke highly of him. In speaking to him I found him to be very bright, but he is great at talking to you in language you will understand. His office staff are also very good at what they do.
