I truly apoloze to doctor Joyce. My review was out of hurt and out of anger. Over sites happens. We had a long talk face to face and we feel alot better just from talking to her. Thank you Doctor Joyce for meeting with us and taking the time to help us understand better. We could feel your concern. My parents and I really appreciated your time.

She is a gem. Highly recommend her. So knowledgeable and truly cares about you. She tells things like they are, but you know what you need to do once she sees you.

Probably one of the most over-rated doctors around. She has been my diabetic doctor for 17 years, but lately she has become terrible at sharing information. My last visit she told me all my results were excellent. I then received a call from my family DR. saying he received a letter from her stating that there has been protein in my urine for some time now, and I need a change of meds. Explain that OH MIGHTY ONE. She is a big fish in a small pond, and she uses that to boost her inflated ego.

I have been seeing Dr. Joyce for about 15 years. Initially, I did find her to be somewhat abrupt. However, in a short time I came to appreciate this. She doesn't sugar coat things. Sometimes that is what someone needs in order to see the reality of their situation and do something to help themselves. A doctor can't do it all for you. Over the years I found her to be a good listener, great to have a chat with. She doesn't rush you. Very knowledgeable and gets things done.

She was very nice in the beginning. But then I started doing some research and would come prepared with questions. She would act rude and offended if I questioned her thinking or if I wanted more info. Once, when I asked what my levels were, she said, "Would you even know what it meant if I told you?" She told me that I would be undergoing treatment on a certain date, had me start a very restrictive diet ahead of time, and then never followed up. She never contacted me to let me know that she had never made contact with radiology. Total failure in communication and no consideration for me as her patient. As a doctor, I feel like she should want to be your teammate and advisor and understand that you know your body better than anyone else. If you are the type of person that will completely trust your doctor without learning about your diagnosis on your own, then she will be a good fit. But if you educate yourself, she will feel challenged by your questions and concerns.
