Anyone using this site as an instrument in making informed decisions, decisions as to the medical care they are planning on recieving, should avoid this physician. The argument against using this surgeon is very simple. First, whether a surgeon is kind is of little concern when your life is involved. The main concern you should have is the success rate of a surgeon and that rate of success compared to the national average. If you read the comments on this site, comments which continually document the mistakes causing serious harm and sometimes death – death being a result we wish to avoid at all costs - in routine surgeries. So, my point to make is that there should be no relevance in what a doctor’s attitude is, and that a surgeon's attitude should be an aside to the surgeon's skill and training. My personal opinion is that Dr. Cooper doesn't meet an apealing standard of care - based on results - and therefore must have some disability present in his current skills.

Oh and he told me I was the only one he ever botched up on with gall bladder surgery.....Seems I was not the first and won't be the last. He should be stopped before he does this to someone else. I know one man who died because of him.

I did not find this doctor helpful. Luckily, I had my surgery done by someone else. I have a good friend whose bowel surgery went very badly by Dr.Cooper. His new doctor wanted to know "who the hell operated on him." Be very cautious with this doctor.

this doctor is not worth anyones time. i had the misfortune of having him deliver my daughter C-section 13 years ago. i had her on a thursday night and early saturday morning he came in and took my stitches out and put surgical tape in their place. i ended up being allergic to the type of tape he had put and my skin around my incision became all blistered. after a few days of this my incision became partly openened and infected very badly. it had gotten to a point that i had to get a home care nurse to come into my home to tend to the incision , to make sure it would heal properly, for as i was not able to care for it well myself. it finally healed after a few months but left a nasty scar. i have not wanted to have anymore children due to this incident. in my opinion, if he would had left my stitches in longer it would have saved months of pain and suffering.

Dr. Cooper preformed a double carpal tunnel release on me and I was terrified of going in due to some of the comments on this site and from hearing others. I am so glad that I decided to just trust my Doctor! My hands are 100% healed with such a neat scar that people don't even believe me when I show them. I have recently had a registered massage therapist tell me that she was quite impressed with the feel of the tissue in my wrists and also the incision sites. Thanks to Dr. Cooper and his talents, I can do my job once again and get some sleep afterwards painless for the first time in over 12 years. Don't be fooled by others..listen to your Doctor and you will feel when it's right for you.

I can honestly say myself that I have come through 3 surgeries by DR.Cooper and I have had no complications. He was very caring and compassionate towards myself. I have read all these comments and it just shocked me. However as for rating DR.Cooper through my experiences I would have to say he is a very good Doctor.
