Dr. Thurston started me on Medication, a couple months later, his front office staff (Alex) refused to refill the medication which abruptly sent me into withdrawals. The mental effects of this was inhumane.

Saw him twice and he didn't want to put me on the med my previous Dr reccomended because he had no idea what dose to start me on. Would have stayed with previous Dr except for moving too far away.

His receptionist said "Holy F**k" out loud and my kids were in the waiting room. Also, my son has developed serious tics as a side effect of the medication he was prescribed. He was not taken off it.

This doctor ruined my life. He is very quick to prescribe new medications without really ever listening to what I had to say. I told him about suicidal thoughts that I never had prior to seeing him and being on the meds he gave me. He didn't do anything but compare me to what majority of people feel and then gave me another drug which screwed me up entirely! DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!

I agree with the patient below. Dr. Thurston really seems out of touch with what is needed in psychiatric care. He asked me a barrage of questions, which at first I attributed to the "therapeutic process". However, he asked me more questions and then just pushed meds on me. What??? I got ABSOLUTELY no counseling, no future plan for treatment. NOTHING. I find this doctor to be incredibly disorganized and out of touch with the patient. I believe he either has been doing this TOO long or just was never that effective in the first place. DO NOT BOTHER - GET ANOTHER PHYSICIAN.

THIS PHYSICIAN SAW ME A COUPLE OF TIMES AND THEN DROPPED ME WITHOUT EXPLANATION. THE OFFICE APPEARED TO BE DISORGANIZED AND THERE WAS NEW STAFF FREQUENTLY. I SHOWED UP A COUPLE OF TIMES FOR A SCHEDULLED APPOINTMENT AND WAS NOT SEEN, BECAUSE THERE WAS A MESS-UP IN THE COMPUTER. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED THIS POORLY BY ANOTHER PHYSICIAN, LET ALONE A PSYCHIATRIST. MAYBE IT IS TRUE ABOUT THE OLD SAYING THAT SOME "PSYCHIATRIST NEED MORE HELP THEN THEIR PATIENTS".
