Boone did my “appendectomy “ only later to find out he didn’t take it out it’s still there. He removed a small portion of appendix and nobody told me otherwise. I came out of surgery and was told everything went as planned. Went back 6 weeks post opt for abdominal pain and he dismissed my concerns and told me it’s probably menstrual cramps.. my first period coming back postpartum . Fast forward almost four months later only to find out (with no help of his) it was in fact NOT that and I have a large aggressive mass growing in my abdomen that needs further testing and has to be surgically removed. Extremely rude. I will never go back to him. This could have been dealt with months ago had he taken me seriously. Unprofessional is an understatement.

Rude , told me it’s all in my head. Questioned my mental health and my home life.

Yet I was there vomiting uncontrollably and there was more sympathy and kindness in the chair

Rude, rushed, and complete lack of bedside doctor/patient etiquette. Treated like a paycheck and felt like you were nothing short of another job. Follow up was late, rushed and felt like he didn't want to entertain any concerns I had. Also, he was likely absent at any classes when it came to cosmetic care and appearance of incision repairs. Would highly recommend a more knowledgeable surgeon and avoid this guy at all costs. So regret allowing him to perform my surgery and will display this to my family doctor.

Avoid this dr. At all costs. He is rude, and JUST NOT NICE I had simple surgery, which turned into many Vista to nurses coming to my home to get packing for badly infected wound. When I saw him in office he brush me off like it was no big deal. I am still getting out and drain out of where the surgery was but he doesn't care.

What a horrible experience. Why is this "surgeon " even allowed to practice anymore??
Conceited, and for no good reason. My experience turned into a nightmar with all my complications. Avoid him if you can.

I, like many patients on this site, had a terrible experience with Darryl Boone. He is a conceited man who takes very little time to listen to his patients. He obviously cares even less about their personal time since he himself is constantly late. Poor manners, poor bedside manner, and poor performance.
Avoid at all costs.

Awful bedside manner; staff weren’t much better. I requested a sedative due to anxiety about the procedure and was treated like a drug addict. I could hear him and the nurse talking about how ridiculous it was for asking for a sedative and what a waste it was giving it to me for the procedure. I want the only patient that requested a sedative and they were saying the same about them. I know this because they were using our names. I was supposed to go back to discuss results. But, due to such a bad experience, I didn’t go back. That was nearly a decade ago. Looks like he’s still horrible at his job.
