Excellent Physician with a wide spectrum of knowledge, great bedside manner and good dose of humor. Good listener and open to alternative treatment options if it helps the patient - a wise man, competent and compassionate. Truly lucky to have him for the past 20 years. Yes, he might be late ( hospital/ emergency duty) but that's not a big issue if you get superior medical treatment and attention, and this doctor sincerely cares for and about his patients with a dedication seldom seen. You are in good hands indeed if he is your doctor!

Dr. Phillips is never on time for an appointment, but once you do see him, you understand why. He never makes me feel rushed and is always kind and caring.

Dr Phillips is always very busy, and there is a shortage of doctors in the area, so the wait time can be long. He is very helpful and knows his patients, his community and his medicine. He loves his job and is in no rush to retire. In addition to traditional medicine, he is accepting of alternative treatments. I have suffered with depression and he encouraged me to follow the path that made me feel better, even when it was non-traditional therapy.

As patients of Dr. Phillips for 15 years, his care has been exemplary for everything from a cold to cancer. Both my husband and I have been refferred to specialists appropriately, effectively, and quickly. We have always found him to be empathetic, and to ask the questions required to get the information he needs to offer an informed opinion.

Dr. Philips is a very busy Dr. He is not always on time, but once in his office I have never felt rushed. He listens and offers advice. If he is at all concerned he has never hestitated to make a referal. I think that Dr Philips is a knowledgable caring Dr. I think that people in Muskoka should be very happy to have him available. He has made it clear that in an emergency that we should never hesitate to call him at home.

Dr. Phillips is often over booked, when I ask about a problem I have been having repeated urinary tract infections and has refused even after my Homecare Nurse requested to send to a specialist.
