I have had treatment of cornea scar with no issue previously and discussed it multiple time both in house and consultation that doctor have recommended not to go ahead with surgery as i had no blurness and 6/6 with spectacle with only a slight fadeness when look from s
Left eye. Dr Arun Gulani assured me in consultation that corneaplastique will not cause any issue of double vision or blurness. Now after his surgery even after 5 months i have double vision which is not allowing to work on screen. They refused to provide any help now and keep disconnecting my call or reply to emails. Also they charged me for not for sale eye drops . Please don't belive in them as they are giving wrong advice to patients . During signoff of document they got their staff there who said there is nothing to worry and you are in safe hands and assured nothing will happen .this is kind of marketing strategy through youtube. Do not belive in what this doctor says as he give all wrong commitment and assurance and keep cursing other doctor in India using offensive language whereas whatever Indian doctor here recommended was correct and he played with my eyes and now have no remedy. There is lot of difference in what they say and do. There is no response to my emails where i said i am having double vision and given doctor report as well but they have no post op after causing damage and wrong advice to your eyes and playing with your lives.

I visited Dr. Gulani in October of this year looking for solutions to vision problems I face as a result of injuries from an automobile accident and Radial Keratotomy procedures performed over the years causing instability and low light loss of vision. I was impressed by Dr. Gulani and he performed a procedure on my tear ducts which has appeared to stabilize my vision to a degree. He spent quite awhile with me on the two days I was in his office and I was hoping to return for further surgery next year.

However, prior to making the trip from my home in Michigan to his Jacksonville, Florida office I had discussed my need for documentation related to my condition, his conclusions and plans to correct remaining problems if possible that my insurance adjuster had requested and I was assured there would be no problem. I mentioned this need again when I entered his office and was again assured this would not be a problem.

I paid for the initial telephone consultation as well as for the office consultation, tear duct procedure, prescription eye drops and eye care kit without delay only to find out when I returned home that I could not get the documentation I had requested. I was told by Anushka that the doctor spent more time than he normally would with me, had gone above and beyond and that she was surprised I did not realize this after the Dr. spoke so highly of me. I was made to feel stupid and uninformed. I sent a letter to the Dr. marked personal and confidential and received another email from Anushka suggesting I CONSIDER FINDING ANOTHER SURGEON.

All I asked for was documentation on the institutes letterhead as requested by my insurance provider in order to obtain reimbursement for the nearly $10,000.00 investment made to date.

I expected to be returning to Jacksonville at least twice in the next few months for further procedures but considering how I have been treated I am very unsure this will happen.

I have had two exceptional experiences with Dr Gulani at Gulani Vision Institute in Jacksonville, Florida. I am currently 10 months post-LaZrPlastique on both of my Keratoconus eyes and am seeing 20/40 OD and 20/20 OS. I am grateful for this doctor’s knowledge and skill in the field and am grateful to be able to experience freedom from Keratoconus.

. My left eye had somewhat better vision but not much better. Wait time was nonexistent at his office, and there was no crowded waiting room. All preoperative questions were answered thoroughly and patiently. I know that Dr. Gulani spent countless hours going over my test results and deciding on the best, individualized approach for my surgery. The staff is amazing, patient, and kind. After surgery, I am functioning very well without the aid of any glasses or contact lenses. I underwent my surgery without anesthesia or pain during or since the surgery. Calls and follow-up visits left me assured that my postoperative course was being closely monitored. With my nursing background, I consider myself an excellent judge of good follow-up care; and, believe, me, I got the best!
About a week ago, I looked in the mirror while washing my face and said to myself, “My eyes are blue!!” It has been many, many, many years since I have been able to distinguish facial features or see the color of my eyes. I can now see that Dr. Gulani’s eyes are a deep, kind, expressive brown which I did not ascertain before the surgery. I am so grateful to Dr. Gulani and his caring, compassionate staff. Words cannot explain the happiness and appreciation I feel.
My hope is that many more surgeons will learn the Gulani technique and have the compassion to treat the people who have been discarded by the ophthalmology field. I hope I have been able to convey the agony, suffering, and anguish I have undergone as a result of living with this disability for so many years with no hope, until now, of ever rising above it. With Dr. Gulani’s help, I have now soared above it.

I am a surgical ICU nurse who, 36 years ago, underwent RK with 25 incisions bilaterrly. Even while wearing specially-made, enlarged, rigid contact lenses in addition to glasses, it has been very difficult to function. Five sets of glasses were required which enabled me to perform different tasks: one for driving, one for piano playing, one for computer, one for patient care, and one to give my eyes a break from the hard contact. The contacts and glasses afforded me good enough vision to allow me to work. During these terrible years, I was consistently told by numerous ophthalmologists that there was either nothing that could be done or nothing could be done except corneal transplantation. In my nursing practice, I have taken care of numerous patients who have undergone this surgery; and, as a consequence, all but one were blind in the transplanted eye. I, therefore, said, “Not no—but hell no” to offers of corneal transplants. I had the RK prior to going to nursing school. Confidence was definitely an issue at that time, and I am sure I would have been axed from the program had not my test scores been so high. The school I attended was 10th in the nation for successful NCLEX results; therefore, because my test scores made me first in the class, I was allowed to continue although I was encouraged to take another year because of my confidence issues. I never disclosed the problems I had with my eyes because, at that time, I was going through some very challenging personal issues and needed to be able to take care of myself and four children as soon as possible. Thus, I was terrified that I would be kicked out of the program if anyone knew about my struggles to be able to see. While working, the shadows and constant fluctuation of my eyesight were terrifying. Assessing pupillary reaction time (very essential for neurological patients) was impossible for me; therefore, I had to rely on another nurse’s exam. Drawing up medications in syringes (such as insulin) was scary as well. Whenever I entered a patient’s room, I wondered if I would be able to see well enough to take good care of my patient. Again, I did not verbalize that I had any issues because of fear of losing my job. When I first appeared in Dr. Gulani’s office, I could not see the Big E on the chart with my naked right eye.

New Year, New Laser surgery- LazerPlastique!
So excited starting the new year with better than 20/20 vision for distance, near, and night vision. As a nurse practitioner my vision is extremely important and I was worried about getting surgery. Dr. Gulani and his staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and excited about this procedure. My only regret was not doing it sooner!

"To Indiana with GulaniVision!" "KERATOCONUS to GulaniVision!" "Master Chef of Vision!" " Another Gulani Miracle!" "The GULANI Difference!" Best things NEVER change; 20 years later!" "Cross the country with GulaniVision! " "MIRACLES with consistency!" "Pterygium to SPARKLING EYES!" "Mr. Fix It!"

Hundreds of "reviews" starting with a one liner and exclamation points followed by an indented paragraph. So obviously fake. I'm just a regular guy in a desperate search to try and repair my eyes and now I have to guess how good this guy is because of the fake reviews. It's so upsetting to me that he or his office has to do this. So is Dr Gulani any good?? WHO KNOWS! That's my point. I'm sure this review will be removed in a few days either way.

I had gone to another eye doctor for 3 years, and was told I had cataracts. Every visit I would tell him everything looked smoky. I asked when would my cataracts be treated. The answer would always be, not yet,. Well after almost stepping on a rattlesnake, and not seeing it until I was next to it. I called a friend and was told about Dr Gulani. I got a referral and went to him. I was so amazed, Dr Gulani and his staff are so welcoming and very professional. I went in and they were extremely thorough evaluating my situation . My cataracts were very bad.! I always had to wear reading glasses. Well he did my surgery (pain free). By the way, I don't have to wear reading glasses anymore. I couldn't believe how rich and vibrant colors were again! God blessed me in all this coming together. Thank you Dr Gulani for your passion for helping us.
