This post is much overdue!!! Well, I should've listed to your comments on Neighborhood Ringwood about Dr. Kook in Oakland. It didn't turn out so well. When I called them and sent them a copy of my insurance card they told me they were in my plan. I was thrilled thinking I finally found a dentist for my family. Dr. Kook was very nice, talked a lot about his family and he had pictures all around the rooms of them. He fixed my tooth and ALSO asked me to do him a favor and write a review! After he took care of my broken bridge I went back for a check up and cleaning. My how things changed. I received a bill for $227.00.
Like I said, they informed me they participated in my plan but after showing them the charges on the EOB they said they weren't actually in my plan but would work with me. When I complained they said they would have Dr. Kook call me but I never heard from him. I'm paying my bill off the best I can. One more thing that bothered me the most was on my return visit Dr. Kook asked me if I had gotten my booster shot yet, referring to Covid. I said no, but I felt that was a very personal question and in a round about way he was trying to get my feelings on Covid and the vaccination process. I've been to a lot of dentists throughout my life and I never had a dentist trv to be so personal, family and all. I just want my teeth taken care of. I'm back to the drawing board and will consider the previous recommendations I got in this post. I do not recommend Dr. Kook.

Dr. Kook sent me a bill for $610 for services I didnt recieve upon calling they could not tell me what it was for and said they would call me back.. they did not. I called again and got the same response saying they would call me back.. they never did and then sent me to collections!!!

Toxic environment the woman at the front desk is nasty and yells loudly for all to hear. I feel bad for that rest of the staff

He gave me an inferior dental filling, charged me what seemed like a very high rate,, then “scolded me” because it broke!

Dr. Kook should retire. He charges 5x's more than the guy down the street and is
5 X's slower
's slower.

I Loved Dr Kook. The office staff on the other hand should be replaced. Their is only one word to describe her and it is RUDE. I wont be going back.
