Dr. Rubin has a beautiful office, but that is as far as the beauty goes. It is a bit uncomfortable being in the office. Her front desk person is too friendly and loud, thinks she is everyones best friend. Dr. Rubin and her female helper (definitely not a nurse) appear to have an intimate relationship that does not belong in the office. Then there is the dog in the office!! Everything unprofessional and uncomfortable.!

Dr Rubin is fine but her office staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. I was unable to obtain an itemized receipt and now will not be able to get reimbursed.

Dr Rubin has been my primary care doctor for years, her office is beautiful and her staff always knows me by name. Going to her is like going to a friend and a doctor at the same time. She is always thorough and kind. She puts me at ease and is always attentive to my medical concerns. If she does not know the answer to a question she just calls a specialist. She makes me feel like a really matter and i know that I am safe in her hands. One more thing, I never leave the office without a hug.

I had been seeing Dr Rubin for several years and was always content with her. When she moved her office from one location to another, everything went downhill! Most distressing to me is her front office staff. Not only rude, but entirely incompetant! I needed to have a perscription changed to generic since my insurance would not cover what was requested. After 5 attempts by the pharmacist to get approval, he gave up. The front receptionist WOULD NOT pass on to Dr Rubin or NP for approval but instead took it upon herself to write "generic ok" which is not acceptable to the pharmacy! When I called and expressed how frustrating the situation was I was hung-up on by her! I had left several messages for Dr Rubin to please contact me, but I know her receptionist did not pass on to her. I had to find another Dr. Now I cannot get my med records sent to my new Dr who made several attempts to obtain and was told they would be faxed right over which they never were. OUTRAGEOUS!!!

I am/was a new patient of Dr. Rubin's but will not be returning to her office. The staff was unprofessional and it felt like no one was in charge. While I was waiting for 50 minutes to see Dr. Rubin, she displayed unprofessional behavior by raging at one of her receptionists. Made me very uncomfortable. When she came in the room, she was aggressive and would not let me express my concerns. She lacked an ear to listen and her arrogance made me feel unwelcome. Unfortunatly, I did not want to have my face filled with botox or lasered, or I would have received excellent care. I will be looking for another Dr. in North County...one who respects her employees, her patients.

I wish I would have read these comments before I went to see Dr. Rubin last week. She was rude. When responding to her questions about my health, she would say, "you are leading me...let me ask you the questions." I was in pain so I shut my mouth. She said xrays done the week prior by an Orthopedic Specialist were worthless and sent me for more. Had me come back the next day where I waited in her office. She came out into the office with her new puppy and gossiped with friends in the waiting room regarding what to name the dog. Yet, when I finally got in to see her, she bluntly told me she had no time to go over my test results as she had "people" waiting. When I asked specifally about symptoms of why I came to see her, she said "I've already told you three times that I have another meeting." Oh did I forget to mention that the first 5 minutes of our 9 minutes together was spent with her telling me that I needed to put $4,000 worth of fillers in my face!!!! No recommendation!

I have been a patient of Dr. Rubin's for many years, but no more! She used to be a caring and patient Dr., but now is only focused on making money from pushing Botox, lasers, and prescription medicines she carries in the office. Her front office staff is incompetent and unprofessional. The last time I was there, I was offered persona information about the Dr. that was totally inappropriate. They gossip and lack all professional characteristics needed to be dependable. I have been used to waiting sometimes more than an hour to see Dr. Rubin, but felt it was worth the wait as she seemed to care. She now only cares about the money and has become rather aggressive as opposed to listening. I will be seeking out a new Dr. ASAP!!

I'm a 37 year old female, 3 kids, healthy, etc. I went in to see Dr Rubin to get a "check-up". I was symptomless but wanted my thyroid checked, and had concerns about ovarian cancer since my 44 year old sister had it (kind of young for ovarian cancer). While waiting, I actually jotted down all my concerns/questions on the white paper sheet the exam tables are lined with. She came in the room, saw my squirmy 8 month old ready to pitch a fit, ripped the sheet off the table and said "lets go to a bigger room and answer your questions". The worst part about going to the DR for me is the feeling that they think I'm "Paranoid." Not with Dr rubin. She went down the list one by one, addressed the concerns that were valid, and made me feel at ease about the ones that were from researching too much on the internet (every lump is NOT cancer). For my ovarian cancer concerns, she was adamant on yearly pelvic ultrasound and CA125 tests (which she ecplained can be sketchy). A great doctor!

I do not know if Dr. Rubin will in fact read this comment but I hope she does. Her staff are totally unresponsive and they pass the buck from one to another. My billing issue dates back to April 1, and as of now, it remains unresolved. I have sent faxes, left voicemail messages, my cell #, office #, and no one has EVER returned my call. With the lack of communication and response, this bill will be considered delinquent as I am responsible for over $500. Dr. Rubin is a very generous, kind and considerate doctor and I have enjoyed, for the most part, her medical attention given me over the years. Word of advice - your practice doesn't stop inside the medical room - it's all around. Pay attention and see what the problems are and fix them. Otherwise you will lose patients for something that can and should be prevented. Customer service is everything, and that's what makes "word-of-mouth" turn in to referrals. I hope my issue is resolved asap. Thanks, Dr. Rubin, for your attention.

In all my experience with the medical industry, Dr Rubin runs the worst office I have ever seen. Her front office staff is incompetent to the point of being dangerous (pharmacy errors). They **** about each other to the customers (me). never seen such a rude bunch of idiots. They repeatedly lost referrals, failed to follow through and flubbed the easiest requests. Dr Rubin herself is very compliant- she will give you a prescription for whatever you tell her to, but look out if you expect competent diagnosis. Once kept me waiting for 95 minutes to see her. Never again for that hack doc.
