Dr. Kriek may seem a bit serious but he seems to genuinely care. I recently moved from Edmonton and the Dr. I had there was not very good. Dr. Kriek seems to know what he is talking about and even though he can seem to be rough around the edges at times he always ensures we have the correct info. and that we are doing what is best for our health. Both my husband and I see him and we are very pleased with his services. After our first visit we both thought he was worse then our moms in a sense that he drilled us about exercising, eating well, not driking too much and not smoking. He is a no fluff kinda Dr. which I believe is what we need.

Very bad experience with this doctor. He was not thorough in his examination of my father as he complained of a chronic cough that went undiagnosed for several months. My father kept coming back to him only to be shunted out of the office without any firm diagnoses and examination. It turned out he had a tumor that was identified on a simple chest xray done by a resident. My father succumbed to cancer and i'm sure with a proper examination this would have been identified earlier perhaps altering the outcome.

I just had the most complete physical ever. While I am not necessarily looking forward to the last portion of the full meal deal (colonoscopy for those over age 50), I am truly impressed with the thoroughness and professionalism received from Dr. Kriek and his staff. And I liked him too !

I have been seeing Dr.Kriek for my 2 1/2 years that I have been in Regina. I rarely need medical attention and I have a bit of a medical background so I only go when something just isn't right. On one particular visit I was definitely in distress and he was persistant with his examination to follow his 'hunch'. He wouldn't let me leave the office until he consulted with a specialist. The next morning I was in surgery and I am thankful for his knowledge and professionalism. He resembles Bart Simpson's boss, ha! but he is a very competant Dr. I don't waste his time, I know my own self and know when something is wrong and when I call the receptionist is very helpful in finding me an appt whether it be that day or the next. I state my symptoms and he listens intently. Im not there to visit, although he does take a moment to chat about vacations and my commute to work. I will continue to see Dr.Kriek as long as he continues to remain doctoring in Regina. Thanks again !

The guy is creepy and cold; he treated my son better than he treated me but I really can't rate his knowledge as he did make several errors. I just can't stand his personality. Why is a personable intelligent punctual doctor so hard to find??

I've been attending on a regular basis for my annual check-up since he took over hte practice from his predecessor. I find Dr. Kriek to be proficient in all areas and a no nonsense kind of guy which I appreciate. To the best of my knowledge he is not a gynecologist so I dont know why a woman would consult him on pregnancy, but them again I'm not a woman. Personally my rating of Dr. Kriek is above the average rating on this site.

Very insightful physician. Checks things out - doesn't expect you to prescribe your own medications. I believe many people are looking for a doctor they can dictate to. Dr. Kriek is not allowing this - he wants to know what he is treating. Nice office staff - very helpful and competent.

The first doctor I saw when I moved here pregnant from Vancouver. He told me that I should be spanking my 3 1/2 year old son more because he was badly behaved. I told him that in Canada, that's called child abuse. After delivery, he neglected to come to the hospital to check me out and after the third day, I walked. They weren't going to let me take my baby with me, so I demanded that they get the **** on the phone to check us out over the phone. He has a terrible bedside manner and probably should have been an accountant instead of a doctor. I'd recommend NOT seeing this doctor.

Dr. Kreik has been fantastic. I started seeing him just over a year ago. From the time fo my first physical with Dr. Kreik, I realize how much I have been short changed from other doctors in the past. He is very thourough and is more interested in preventing sickness than treating sickness. I recently sprained my knee and Dr. Kreik gave me three options to shoose from: a prescription, Ibuprofin, or therapy (my choice). I loved the fact that he gave the options and it was up to me if I wanted to put out the money or not! He always remembers where I work, who my family is and other simple facts about my life. I woudl recommend him to everyone (but then the waiting time to see him may get over the 1 minute maximum that I have experienced so far!)
