The staff is friendly and helpful. The doctor wears a mask the entire visit, kind of weird. However he is thorough and very kind and patient. Do not make plans for 3hours after your appointment because you will be waiting to be seen.

Dr. Hoche is a rare doctor who actually cares about his patients. If he seems abrupt it is because he is thinking about your case and his time is valuable because of his case load. Yes, it is true that one usually has to wait, but as another person said it is because he takes the time necessary for EACH patient. Everyone waiting knows this and accepts it because they know that the Dr will take all of the time needed with THEM when it is there turn. No one has ever waited 4 or 5 hours unless the Dr had an emergency. As for the patient who said that one of her friends died under his care; people die under doctors care every single day and rarely does the doctor get accused of killing them. Since Dr. Hoche is not in prison i'm saying this is a vile and libelous statement by this person. To the person who accuses Dr. Hoche of making promises that were unrealistic/inappropriate must not understand that the patient must follow the doctors advice in order to improve. As to prescribing the wrong dosages of medication on multiple medications I believe that is a blatant lie by a disgruntled patient who could not get her own way, choice of drugs, be first in line , whatever. Proof is that she says that the staff is rude and defensive about the doctors background. I am interested to know how the subject of his background came up in the first place. I find their loyalty to the doctor admirable and encouraging. The staff are competent, well trained, knowledgable and polite. They are also VERY busy so have little time to make nice to patients who are rude and impatient. People will treat you the way that you treat them. To the ex-patient who states that "The staff needs training in patient service and manners!" I say that you make me laugh because it has been my experience that it's usually the patient who needs the training. As I said before people will treat you the way that you treat them.
I have been seeing Dr. Hoche for 2 or 3 years and I have found that he is a brilliant diagnostician, that he knows more about brain chemistry than any other doctor that I have ever encountered (and I am an old lady) and that above all he is kind. Dr. Hoche changed my life and I will always be grateful. He is also funny when he has the time to joke with the patients. He is a 5 star doctor and the best of the best.

Very professional and pleasant. If you have to wait it's because he is spending the amount of time he needs to do an appropriate examination, obtain an appropriate history and discuss with you his findings or additional diagnostic studies you may need. I was VERY impressed. And his office staff is professional, pleasant and concerned.

I was an MS patient. He gave me ORAL steroids. These gave me all sorts of complications, and he said "everybody's different", or "it's normal". I don't think having a blood clot in my lungs is normal. I later found out the National Institutes of Health said oral steroids should NOT be used for the treatment of an MS relapse. Hoche could have killed me with the prescriptions. One of my friends under his care did die. It was awful and unnecessary. Hoche has NO nurses on staff. Only office people.

Always makes you wait a minimum of 5 to 6 hours to see him. Any doctor who so poorly manages his time is questionable at best. Always leaves me with a sour mouth and insecurities about his value. Even with the 'beeper' he now gives the waiting patient flow, it is obvious he does not care about his patients. Can not recommend this doctor, period.
