YOU ONLY SEE THE NURSE!! I understand everyone gets frustrated at the end of pregnancy but she had no patience with dealing with me. The nurse was our go between..which at 39 weeks I want to speak to the DOCTOR about induction. She also told me i couldnt be induced after the week before saying i could because she was going to be away for the weekend. How unprofessional..I have other children that i need to make plans for. I would not recommend her at all!! I had Dr. Levy for my first child and he was wonderful wish my insurance covered him!

Absolutely love her. I did not have a Doctor when I was pregnant with my first and found her. She is absolutley attentive to my needs and desires as a patient and does not treat pregancy as a "disease" but as a natural happening. I was not interested in a lot of intervention, and she is very respectful of that. She loves babies and takes great care in their entrance in to the world. She is a solo practice, but is always willing to answer questions. Great great experience with her.

I have to agree with most of the people here. She is a very cold person. I don't mind a doctor being non chatty, but with her, after waiting 40 min for an appointment she only spend 5 minutes with me and just dismisses me. She is not very helpful and is not interested in what you have to say and don't want to explain too much. I am not sure if she is not knowledgeable or just don't want to waste her time. I am still looking for a good gyno doctor in this area.

Just waited to visit this Doctor again last month in order to post my opinion. I agree with most of the posters. Doctor was not very knowledgeable in my case (no more babies, in my 40's, peri-menopausal stage) she is totally out of it. After a few questions which she did not take time to answer or couldn't answer, just dimissed me by reading/writing on her chart not even eye contact. No follow-up on results from pap or blood work, I had to call her office. Cold not very professional. Made me sign a paper if I cancel within 24 hours, I must pay a fine...but then kept me waiting and was late 45 minutes. Her staff was warm and very nice! I am looking for another Doctor (would love to return to Doctor who delivered my last baby 15 years. ago, but he is not part of my Insurance).

Dr. Chou was nice, when I actually got to speak to her. You will feel as though your Dr. is the nurse instead of her because that is the only person you ever talk to. I asked for a referral to a specialist and was told it was too soon( which is the opposite of what my fertility specialist said). They told me if they recommended the doctor to me to not say it was from them because they didn't want to look stupid. When I expressed my concern over my fertility issues I was told I had a common problem not to worry. Fertility issues are not common and should be treated by a specialist, in my opinion. I think she was out of her league in dealing with my fertility problems and after reading other reviews I see I am not the only one that felt that way.

The staff I've interacted with have been kind and helpful. Dr. Chou is certainly not "rude", but personally I was not pleased with her services. When I asked her for an opinion about some hormonal problems I am seeing an endocrinologist for, she simply laughed and told me my doctors were wrong, berating them like they didn't know what they were talking about, but offering no more information for me. When I later asked what age a woman could be sterilized at (I am sure I don't want children, and if I did I find adoption the only ethically acceptable choice, for me personally), she scoffed at the question and told me I have to have "lots of babies." I noticed many catholic decorations in her office, and I believe her faith interferes with her listening to, and objectively treating, each patient.

I don't know if she is a good dr or not, but she kept me waiting over an hour which was ok, but then wanted me to come back 4x per yr for a check-up even though i had no health risks and said she would code it illegally for insurance under 'pms'. I didn't have PMS or any other issues, so i didn't find this neccessary

Dr Chou is the most wonderful doctor in the world! I've been her patient for over 13 years. When i was pregnant with my first, my doctor dropped my health insurance; Dr. Chou took me although she wasn't taking new patients at the time - I wouldn't trade her for any other doctor. She will listen, will chat & is a great artist as well. I've recommended at least 10 friends to her & everyone loves her!

The worst doctor I've ever had. She refused to see me on my first appointment when I was 6-week pregnant. She only sent a nurse for me. The pregnancy turned out to be a disaster. As a foreigner, I didn't know how to handle this kind situation. She has also taken advantage of that. Looking back, I should have sued her for malpractice.

Dr. Chou is wonderful!! She may not be as "chatty" as some doctors... but if you have questions or issues you want to discuss, she will happily take as much time as needed to sit and talk with you. I had originally wanted a midwife with my first baby, because I thought a doctor would play "high-and-mighty physician" with me and just issue orders. I also wanted a natural birth with my first child and wasn't confident a doctor would really support that. But, I didn't like the midwife I met, so I switched to Dr. Chou. I couldn't have been happier... she was supportive and encouraging of my plans for a natural birth. (I've heard from others that she is equally supportive when women want pain medication or other interventions.) She made our birth a wonderful experience, and obviously loves her work. All in all, a wonderful doctor who works WITH you in making important care decisions.
