I can't believe people think he has great bedside manner. He had a superior"Winter Park" attitude and talked down to me the whole visit. Insulted my (crappy, to be exact) MEDICARE insurance plan when he heard I had not gone to another recommended doctor that was out of my network. I guess he forgot they let me come to him, so he must be a lower tier! : ) Was not impressed, and he did not help me at all. Office staff like robots.

I highly recommend that you see another Neurosurgeon, even someone else in the same practice!! I had gamma knife Radiosurgery with him in 2011. I had so many side effects afterwards. He denied them all and I was left on my own. Most of the effects are permanent, and I have also had growth of my tumor since the radiation. His staff are rude and condescending. Just go elsewhere!

Not to happy with this guy . I had cervical spine surgery in 2014 , a Foraminotomy at the C5-C7 level . To start with the incision in the back of my neck and the muscles spread apart looks like a divot on a golf course and on my T1,T2 area left side he screwed one of the screws completely through into the Intervertebral disc space area in which I am back in the same pain and numbness as before the surgery this happen 1.5 yrs after the surgery. I laid eyes on this guy 1 time during the first consultation and never seen him again. The 2 follow up's were done by his PA . The shoe lace stitches holding the muscles were removed too soon causing the divot down the back of my neckand the one time I seen him he came across as cocky and his bedside manners suck as I never seen him . I am sure he has fixed a lot of people just not me. Maybe he was a little to tired from climbing that Mountain he went to just before my surgery? All I am saying is Becarful.

If you have surgery and no problems after, then you might be o k . I got the impression , he doesn't deal with complications after. I know, I had 2 surgeries and basically was blown off. Use Caution. I won't give him a recommendation.

In my book, this man is the greatest and most skilled sugeon I know. I had a hemmoratic stroke and was air lifted to Floroida Hospital Rollins. Dr. Field was there as the paramedics brought me into his surgery. He had to do a craniotomy. I was fortunate to walk off his table but also able to shock him in that after my recovery, I was able and still able to lead a normal life and attain my goal of playing tennis again. I highly recommend him.
