I have been a patient of Dr Allen for several years, she is blunt and straightforward but thats what kind of doctor I want, not one thats going to sugar coat things and be wishy washy or handle me with kid gloves. She helped me through some VERY difficult times and was very supportive and knowledgeable. I guess some people just dont understand her style or personality and can be caught off guard, I have several friends with that personality so I was not thrown off by it and I get it. Doctors are people too and each have different personalities. I just got a letter that my insurance is not accepted at her office anymore, and I am dreading finding another doctor after all I have been through with her and her staff and the relationship/rapport I have built over the years. She has been to all my deliveries and I only had a couple appt's cancelled over several years. She honored my wishes for care and delivery. The staff is wonderful as well. Never had a problem getting someone on the line.

THEY DO NOT EVER ANSWER THE PHONE!!!! You have to leave a message and flip a coin if they will call you back. On top of this, after we changed doctors, Lisa's office refuses to transfer the records, so now we have to pay HIPAA to get them. This is the most unprofessional health care provider that my wife or I have ever dealt with. Being our first child, its stressful enough.....I am glad that Lisa is not delivering her.........we would had to leave a message when she goes into labor.......no lie, again, its their policy, they do not answer the phone....

I chose Dr. Allen after moving from a town where I knew my doctors. She is very honest and straight to the point. I thought she was an excellant Dr. My pregnancy and Birth went smooth. I thought she rocked!

I cannot believe anyone could have anything negative to say about Dr. Allen! I am pregnant w/ baby #3 and didn't have a OB after my previous OB who dellivered my other 2 kids retired. I was impressed with her from my first appt. She was so helpful, answered my questions, took the time with me (I didn't feel like she was in a rush which I've felt from other Drs. before), etc. I was having some problems and she really comforted me and made me feel better! I think she's great!

I have seen Dr. Allen since I was 13 and I absolutly love her. She is gentle and she explains everything to you as she does it. Now that I have a baby it is great to know that I could go to her and she would take care of me and my little one. Anyone that says anything bad about her is crazy and probably expects everyone in the world to kiss their butts. Well, wake up and smell the roses. She is a great doc and is a person just like the rest of us.

After TTC with no luck for two years I started seeing Dr. Allen. As someone previously mentioned, she indicated that my weight might be an issue and tried to scare me into better habits. I didn't choose Dr. Allen for her bedside manner, I chose her for her outstanding results. After warning me about my weight she rolled up her sleeves and got to work, ordering a barrage of tests and soon giving me a diagnosis. Appointments with her will be as long or short as you make them. I think she forgets that we're not all doctors and doesn't volunteer information quickly, but if you ask any questions at all she will make sure you have all the knowledge she has to answer them. She's very honest and dedicated, I would recommend her to anyone, but if you need to be handled with kid gloves you should perhaps seek another caregiver.

Dr. Allen is the worst! I went to see her after TTC for about a year. Because I am a little chubby - she indicated that although she can "easily" put a baby inside of me - but that if I don't "lose weight" I will kill myself of my baby. NEWS FLASH DR. ALLEN - I'm still not pregnant - and it has nothing to do with my weight. She has no bedside manner, doesn't remember you at future appointments and is in general a terrible small town doctor. I would HIGHLY suggest looking for someone with more experience and expertise rather than someone making nonsense statements based on physical judgements. Medicine isn't something to treat based on a sterotypes.

Dr. Allen is who I saw during my entire pregnancy with my 3rd child. She was very nice, very knowledgable, and genuinely cared for her patients. I know that being an OB, there is going to be a certain amount of waitng in her office going on. I mean come on guys, babies don't exactly make appointments! But in all of my 9 months with her, I only had to reschedule once due to an emergency she had at the hospital, and even then she had me meet her up at the hospital because she was concerned about my BP. When I had my daughter, she was reassuring, compassionate, and even posed for pictures with us after she was born! I understand all doctors have their off days, but overall I trust her as a competent, caring physician. Make an appointment with them and make your own opinion about your doctor, don't take someone else's words for it, you may never get the "whole" story.

Years after using Dr. Lisa Allen I am still wondering how she has a clientelle or is in business. She was rude, did biopsies left handed being that her right was in a sling, has an hour wait time, and is generally unfriendly. Every woman I know that has used her refuses to go back, or dreads it.
