Patient abandonment! In 2018 Dr. Huhn was to monitor my hormone levels after surgery to remove a tumor from my pituitary gland. Due to her negligence in scheduling my first appointment three weeks following surgery, (learned should have been within a few days following surgery), I was admitted to the hospital twice before, AND sadly twice AFTER seeing her. I don't have enough space here to explain how rude, belittling, detached, and incompetent she was in caring for me as her patient. Her actions screamed total disinterest in my care. i had to find another endocrinologist on an emergency basis after being discharged from the hospital for a fourth time. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!

Dr. Huhn was absolutely unprofessional during my visit with her.
Also, she performed many unnecessary expensive blood work tests, but despite all the extra tests, the much needed A1c test was excluded.
This doctor with waste your time and money.
Her subordinate doctors were helpful though.

WHEN YOU GO IN YOU HAVE TO TELL HER WHY YOU ARE THERE, WHEN YOU HAD LABS, THE MEDS YOU ARE ON (MIND YOU SHE PRESCRIBED). SHE PUT ME ON A BETA BLOCKER AND BP MED DUE TO HYPERTHYROID TOLD ME ONCE LEVELS . GET BACK TO NORMAL SO SHOULD HEART AND BP. I WAS HAVING BLACK OUT SPELLS, BP AND HEART RATE DROPPING. WHEN I ASKED HER ABOUT IT SHE SAID THAT'S NOT HER JOB TO MONITOR (MEDICATIONS SHE PRESCRIBED). I LET HER KNOW YOU PUT ME ON THEM, WELL THEN FU WITH YOUR PCP IF THERE IS AN ISSUE. THEY REFERED ME BACK TO HER SINCE SHE PRESCRIBED THEM. NEEDLESS TO SAY I PALYED WITH MY DOSE AND AM DOING BETTER. SAME WITH THYROID MEDS SHE WANTED TO START ME ON 40MG RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE. THANK GOODNESS I DID RESEARCH, I'VE ONLY WENT AS HIGH AS 15MG AND AM ALMOST IN REMISSION.
WHEN FIRST DIAGNOSED GRAVES/HYPER THEY SENT ME FOR A $600 UPTAKE SCAN THAT SHOULD HE BEEN 2 PARTS~ SHE ONLY ORDERED ONE. SHE ASKED ME ABOUT IT A YEAR LATER AND I TOLD HER IT WAS ONE PART, SHE BLAMED THE HOSPITAL I HAD IT DONE AT. I CALLED THEN SHE ORDERED THE WRONG TEST. I WAS BASICALLY OUT $600 BECAUSE IT WAS THE 2ND HALF THAT MATTERED!!! I SEE HOYT FROM TIME TO TIME HE IS GREAT! THEY WILL SWITCH YOU BETWEEN WHOM EVER, BUT I HAVE NEVER LEFT DR. HUHN HERSELF AND NOT BEEN IN TEARS BECAUSE OF HER LACK OF COMPASSION AND FAILURE TO ANSWER AND BLOW OFF ANY QUESTION YOU HAVE RELATED TO YOUR CONDITION! ITS A HORRIBLE PLACE UNLESS YOU ARE SEEING HOYT.

I've been going to this office for about two years now. In that time I had seen the actual Doctor only twice before today, as all other appointments were with a nurse practitioner, which they changed without my knowledge or permission. I finally had to request that I actually see Dr. Huhn for an appointment. Some of the office staff is friendly, however after arriving 45 minutes early hoping I could be seen early due to another event I had to attend, I still waited an additional 30 minutes past my appointment time and when I asked the receptionist she gave an attitude that the doctor doesn't see patients early and that the last patient just left so it will only be a few minutes (mind you I have now been sitting here for over an hour and she never said a word to me until I spoke up.) This is not the first time I've waited far beyond my appointment time. In all three times I have actually seen the doctor, in my opinion, she has approached my blood results with a very negative and judgmental attitude. Today, for example, she walked in and asked me why I wasn't doing what I was supposed to be doing... Meanwhile I am on three different oral medications and insulin they put me on which I take every day as I was told. Maybe the joke is on me since I just keep doing what they tell me to and the results don't ever change. Today, for the second time, I was hooked up with a Blood Glucose Monitor to track my sugars. Why would I need a second one if they figured out what's going on the first time? It is very clear to me that they love to just write prescriptions and not get to the root of a problem. An example of this would be when I had high cholesterol and the nurse practitioner told me that there was no way I could get it down without medication. I told him no, and three months later after diet and exercise it was back down to almost normal, all on my own. Overall, I would not recommend this doctor to anyone who enjoys personalized, friendly service without a ton of pills and needles being thrown at them. I will be looking for a new doctor after today.

Patient for many years. Dr. always ran late for appts and rude. On visits kept trying to feel my thyroid after it had been removed. Finally decided to just walk away.

This is based on my experience with Dr. Huhn many years ago. She was the first endo I saw after being diagnosed hypothyroid. I had gained 20 pounds in 2 months after my 2nd child was born, so fatigued I could barely care for my children, my hair was falling out, my skin flaking off, and my brain in a serious fog. After a few months on synthroid I gathered up my courage to talk to her about how terrible I still felt. She blithely told me that it wasn'5 my thyroid because my numbers were fine and to have another cup of coffee to perk me up, then dismissed me. I left in tears and never returned to her.

After a long medical relationship, I received a letter in the mail stating her practice can not meet my needs, gave me 30 days to find another endocrinologist, I needed refills on my medications the office refused, office manager refused to return my phone calls. Not a practice I would recommend to anyone, if this is your dr. you'd do better finding another.

I saw Dr Huhn after my primary care dr advised me my thyroid hormones were off as well as some other issues after gaining 30lbs in 3 months as someone who works out regularly. After doing 3 urine tests and blood tests, all with the same result "something is off" Dr. Huhn told me that everything was fine. In her exact words she told me "you have the curves of a Kardashian, a lot of muscle, and a little bit of fat, if you aren't happy get liposuction". I left in tears.
