This doctor did a needless surgery on my shoulder. I came to him with pain in the back of my shoulder. He suggested exploratory surgery to locate the problem because I had had shoulder surgery 12 years before. . He cut off my bi-cept tendon giving me a Popeye muscle with cramping in my arm. I went to another orthopedic surgeon after my surgery to look at my records before and after surgery. He told me that I had a perfectly good bi-cept tendon cut for no good reason. I now have more pain in my arm and shoulder and have a difficult time using my arm as I did before this needless surgery. If I could only turn back the clock and not had this surgery. It is a regret that bothers me everyday.

My son had knee surgery to replace his ACL. It got infected and almost died. The doctor was supposed to do another surgery to remove and replace the infected ACL on a Saturday morning but he didn't show up at the hospital until mid afternoon because he decided to play in a golf tournament instead of doing the surgery in the morning as scheduled. After the surgery my son was told that the doctor took out the infected ACL but did not replace it with another. So after 2 operations and a brush with death because of the infection my son still does not have an ACL and he can no longer work in his trade as a floor covering mechanic. Think twice before using this doctor.

My husband and I both love Dr. Henningsen. He is friendly, takes time to listen, doesn't rush you and always makes us feel comfortable. He is not quick to make a decision for surgery and will offer other solutions first. I recommend him to my family and friends. There is another doc in the same practice is is horribly rude and I think maybe one of the previous posters got them mixed up because I saw this other doctor and he was rude and flippant about my horrendous back pain. But thwo thumbs up to Dr. Henningsen!!!

Went to see this doctor for pain in shoulder. I have stage 4 lung cancer. I was told by the doctor to get myself a six pack..as I am dying anyway. Also asked why I bothered to quit smoking. Very rude and unprofessional

Went to Henningsen for arthroscopic surgery for a rotator cuff/SLAP tear repair. He was always punctual, consistently professional, and easy going enough to make me feel relaxed without worrying about the skill of my surgeon. I spoke with five other people who had identical surgery with different surgeons, and my recovery time was SIGNIFICANTLY faster than theirs. I highly recommend Dr. Henningsen and will see him again if necessary.
