Dr. Bhoujang is WONDERFUL! There are FANTASTIC GOOD REASONS for the long waits at his office. Namely, he takes TIME with each patient and does his best to listen and address their needs. He frequently works until after 8:00 at night to make sure each patient scheduled that day is seen. Just PREPARE YOURSELF for a wait and perhaps bring a cell phone (or other hand held technology), a book, homework, simple craft such as needlework or yarnwork, notes to write, bills, etc. There is a television with oft repeating broadcasts by local channel 13 and several magazines. You can step out of the office for phone calls. WARNING: he does not see patients on Friday for that is his paperwork and phone message day. These items must be received by the receptionists by THURS. in order for him to view them on Friday. He may only take them in chronological order - I am not sure if certain extremely urghent items can move ahead of others. This can include medication issues. On one occassion I did have to wait 2 weeks or more. HOWEVER, his professionalism and kindness make MORE THAN WORTH THE WAIT. The receptionist and other staff are also fantastic. They have much on their plates and many statuetes and guidelines which they must follow. Many grateful thanks to ALL.

Dr. Bhujang's office management is horrible. From the first visit we had to wait nearly 2 hours or more later than the appointment time. Though Dr. Bhujang seems very amiable it is unclear how he assesses one who is extremely quiet in minimal time. The last visit yesterday I saw a man inquire to how much longer for his daughter's appointment and the receptionist said oh this appointment was cancelled. He said if so why had they called to confirm it the day before. I would say the dynamics of the office inefficiency create more than necessary stress on the majority of the clients who are not on psychological numbing meds. After utilizing this office for 6 months I came to believe my money and insurance money is being wasted.

I felt very comfortable with Dr. B from the moment I sat across from him. He explained why I should not take the meds I was currently on and did so that I could understand why. He then explained to me what I should be taking and why. How it affects my brain eg actions and feelings. When we spoke of my illnesses he was current on the subjects and even told me a few stories of others he has met with these issues. He seems very kind and caring and treated me like a person , not a subject. He directed his attention to me and not a computer screen or notepad. I wish he was a talk therapist also since my comfort level with him was so very high.

There have been a few staff changes, but i believe the reception staff is the best it's been in the 4 yrs my daughter has been seeing dr. bhujang. they've been very attentive to my financial situation and charge accordingly. dr. bhujang is NOT a pill pusher, nor is he a therapist. he doesn't make you take pills, he works with what you and he feel is best for you. if you decide for you or your child to take pills, it IS your choice. dr. bhujang isn't there to talk, but he would make a VERY good talk therapist. he always has funny anecdotal (and relevant) stories about people he's known and makes you feel good for having seen him that day; even i feel better afterward. i rated him poorly on punctuality because he probably makes too much time for his patients. we have waited an hour, been upset, but then he makes you feel it was worth the wait.

Having battled cancer now for 9 years, Dr Bhujang and been treating me for almost 7 of those years. I find he does not rush, listens to absolutely everything you have to say and is one of the most up to date doctors on medicine available and how they may react with other medications you take. He has help me immensely and and is now part of my immune system as I continue the battle.

If you are looking for "talk" therapy, then Dr. Bhujang is not for you. However, he will always leave you with a suggestion to help you alter/control your behavior. He has never "pushed" pills on us; just the opposite, and he explains how and why they work. Behavior modification and medication should work together, and if you follow Dr. Bhujang's suggestions and instructions you will overcome. One con: You will not be happy with the wait times. Most of the time, you will wait an hour or more.

Dr. Bhujang is everything good about psychiatry and counseling. He cares. He encourages. He is knowledgeable about medications, and uses them in conjunction with treatment - and he does not overmedicate, choosing rather to listen to the patient and work WITH the patient to determine what is the least medication you can take and still get the effect you need. Dr. Bhujang is reassuring, and his private office space even feels 'safe'. I never feel ''rushed'' or talked down to - I *always* feel better about myself and the future after spending time with Dr. Bhujang, and leave with a plan for at least one *sometimes more* ideas/plans to help improve my life. Dr. Bhujang is really a credit to his profession. He has the personal and professional qualities that make a good psychiatrist - in addition to being always current on research in psychiatry, he has a great sense of humour. On a scale of one to ten, as a psychiatrist, I would rate him 10 - and highly recommend him.

Dr. Bhujang is one of themost professional doctors in the area. My son has been goin to him since 5 years and has improved considerably compared to ANY other doc we have seen. The other reviewers might have to see a "shrink" themselves. He is one of the MOST patient docs and seriously listens to his patients. He also is one among the most respected docs in the area. I would highly recommend him.
