I had an absolutely horrible experience with this doctor. I had a biopsy done with him in February and he assured me the scar would be minimal. I had two little lumps under my skin on my arm a few inches down from my shoulder (was supposed to be about an inch stitch) A few weeks after the biopsy I went back because there was a lump on the scar. He said it was not exactly normal and wanted to open it up again because he said the dissolvable stitches may not have dissolved completely like they should have. When he opened the scar again he found that was the case and stitched me back up with old fashioned stitches. A few weeks later I went to have the stitches removed and I thought that now the scar just has to heal and I was done being opened up. About a month later I noticed a dark like near the scar that started becoming more noticeable. I asked my dermatologist about it at an appointment and he said Dr. Mclaughlin left a stitch in!!! The scar area was already red and purple and horrible looking because of the irritation of the stitch and the other times I had to be opened up...but now I had to have it opened again!!!! all the irritation and opening of a scar that was healing has left me with a horrible red and purple and raised scar. I'm not even sure the excuse the doctor had given me earlier about the dissolvable stitches not dissolving was true. He did a botch job on me overall..and to leave a stitch in on such a small incision!!! I now have to do expensive creams and later treatments to look somewhat normal (hasn't even worked yet) I will never ever go back to this horrible doctor. I did call the office and explain about the stitch that was left in and she said she will "let him know" i never heard back from them again. Beware!
