This doctor doesn't seem to care for his patients. After my mother was transferred to the Health Science Centre because of his neglect, the doctors there couldn't even retreive her health records from him. He would not return the families phone calls and the surgeon at the HSC said what happened to my Mother never should have happened. The HSC doctor said a first year medical student wouldn't have let that happen to her. Beware!!!!

If your looking for someone who will let you diagnose yourself, and give you any drugs you request, then he's the guy! Otherwise, he's an idiot! I went to him complaining I had extremely bad pain in my lower body, and he said to "lose weight and get confortable shoes" I then switched doctors, and have now found I have Fybromyalgia, not impressed to say the least! Everytime I ever saw him he was rude and not at all helpful, but if I told him what I thought he should do, then he would do it, I really don't think he can think for himself! Like I said...Idiot! I call him Dr.Dumbass!

I have found that as my health became more complicated with rheumatoid arthritis, I needed to see him more often, and I always had a list. I have laughed with him, and cried in front of him, and will truly miss him when I move to Alberta next month. I think that having a medical background may have given me an edge, and I did question many things. He successfully assisted me in going on long term disability, and had to fill out hundreds of pages of paperwork. Being an informed consumer is very important to me, and I always researched my issues before seeing him. That seemed to be very helpful, and maybe that is something that other patients should consider in order to be their own advocate. Do your homework, the internet is a world of information on health issues.

I am less and less impressed with him all the time. When he first started he was okay, but lately he seems to be only half doing his job. I am seriously thinking about changing doctors. When I leave I am not confident at all that I have gotten the right care or any care and I KNOW my children haven't.

could not identify a stage 4 cancer - kept trying to treat for heartburn - at our request - he arranged for a scope - turned out to be one of his friends who was so mixed up - a second scope was required by the surgeon to figure out the real situation. Not impressed to say the least.
